Certs - not the candy

What do you think are the best technical certifications for stuff like SEO, XML, etc.?
I really don't want one that is worth less than the paper you print it on.

Interesting question. I don't have any certifications from the worldwide general worldwide organizations, and I am a full time web developer. I do have a 2 year associates degree, and an E-Commerce certificate (1 year of extra courses) from my local community college.

Bump! (I'm interested to know what other folks have to say.)

Huh. I never thought much about it. I've been web-developing for a decade now, and have no little papers saying I can do so, save the county business license lol.

People always assume I've got my bachelor's in design or web design or advertising, but it couldn't be further from the truth (geology.) All I've got is this paper titled "Resume" with a lot of stuff on it. [shrug]

I'd be interested to see someone comment that has certifications and what it's done for them..? [is curious]
