IB VIPs
Okay. I used up all my tokens yesterday (after rediscovering IB and learning about the new trading system) and I ended up upgrading to VIP soon after.
After upgrading I received some new deliveries, including the High Seas set worth 10 tokens. My mistake was not checking how many tokens I had at that point--I'd just upgraded to VIP. I only remembered to look at my # of tokens when I accepted the diamond delivery and discovered I had only 9 tokens left. Er... are we supposed to get 30 tokens right away? The Amsterdam High Seas was worth 10 tokens. If I received 30, after accepting [Amsterdam High Seas] I'm supposed to have 20 left. But I only had 9.
Of course I spent the 8 out of 9 tokens right away.
Has anyone experienced the same thing, or did all you VIPs get 30 tokens right away? I'm kinda bummed my token status says "Your Tokens will be refilled to 30 on June 25, 2007."
:( I'm paying on a monthly basis and if the same thing will happen, I don't want to waste $6.

I got 30 tokens right away, and it has been working fine on my end. You should talk to the chefs if you are sure you haven't spent does extra tokens.

Hey wandergirl, if you upgraded to VIP on the same day that you used up your initial 10 tokens, the 10 tokens you used get deducted from your VIP allotment. Otherwise you'd have got the full 30. This only applies to the first time you sign up and not any cycle refreshes thereafter.

iconmaster, i should have signed up the following day then. That sucks. Still, after I accepted the Amsterdam High Seas, I had only 9 left. This is crazy.

My bad :s Might not renew next month. I ought to e-mail the chefs right now, I didn't get a reply for this query so I hope if I cancel VIP membership this early I won't get charged next month.

iconmaster is correct. This has been discussed several times in the forums. To get the full 30 Tokens by upgrading you have to wait untill the next day after spending your initial Tokens.

Wandergirl, I think it's probably in place to stop people from canceling then re-upgrading the next day every month, because it seems if they did this they'd get 40 tokens for the month. I can't be absolutely positive, but I think that sounds right.

@cheiie: technically, if you upgrade no less than 24 hours after using your 10th token, you get 40 tokens in total for the month. You would only really be able to do this effectively, probably, every other month though?

Like I said, I'm not totally sure. I was just assuming that the reason they outlined it like that was to avoid something along those lines. If you leave people to work a system, surely, someone finds a way.
