Ready to play the IB game!

Right then, I started out with IB 'cos it seemed like a cool place to hang out and pick up some snazzy graphics along the way.

Now, like most people here, I'm hooked and want to start boosting my points and badges.

I think I've got the basics for getting a better score...

- invite friends (done - I don't have many :( )
- send deliveries (trying - it's a bit cut-throat getting in there first ;) )
- collect 10 sets from a family (underway with my new VIP tokens)

...but are there any more tips 'n' tricks for a relative newbie to boost their score?

Help and suggestions are appreciated.

Crawl the forums regularly to find out who needs set and send them! That brings you points! Referrals bring you also points and stamps, which bring you points too ;-)

Pirate advice:

You don't have to accept every set that is sent to you and you have to keep in mind that sets cost tokens and you only get ten (10) tokens a month if you arrr... not a VIP (VIP's=30 TOKENS) so spend them wisely. Sending sets costs stamps.

The value of the sets you send or buy arrr... as follow:

Bronze Set = 1 token for buying = 1 stamp for sending
Silver Set = 3 tokens for buying = 3 stamps for sending
Gold Set = 5 tokens for buying = 5 stamps for sending
Diamond Set = 10 token for buying = 10 stamps for sending = As of Today, two Diamond Sets = Amsterdam High Seas and PackRat= 1 month of tokens

Need more tokens? for every 10,000 points you get 2 extra tokens every month up to 10 tokens (50,000 points). One free token each month for every referral that becomes VIP up to 10 tokens (10 VIP referrals)

You get more stamps by receiving sets (5 for each set you receive). There arrr... several good tutorials here in the forum and somebody will be very glad to link you to some fairly quickly. I would recommend:

Try to fill out your profile entirely ASAP, to show off who you are to the rest of the community.

Being relatively new here (only have had 1 refill so far). Being active in the blogs area helps. Also, keeping a watch out for requests helps as well.

Talk to people, make friends. 25 friends will get you a badge which is really easy to do.

FYI - i learned the slow way - inviting friends is not "friending" current members, it is having new folks join with you as a reference!
