What, no emoticons?
C'mon, you guys are icon designers! (lol)
Seriously, I'd get a kick out of seeing you guys implement some in-house emoticons here in the Blog Forum. :)

They should use the Manhattan Smilies on here. :P

Or at least enable us to post images using HTML code.

I like this idea.

This path of thinking is worthy.

Well, I was thinking about Manhattan Smilies myself (I use both sets on my blog) but it'd be nice to see something new, too. ::hint hint::

Why don't the Chefs just bite the bullet and create a sensible post parser like message boards use. Then smilies and HTML can be easily controlled and < i > < /i > tags become . It's then very easy to pair up tags so that adding a random tag does not "screw up" the rest of the thread like adding a single tag does now!

I'm probably in the minority, but I like the limited posting ability. I don't think anything more sophisticated than code to add links and italics and bold for emphasis is needed. I'm actually quite happy not to see those phpBB emoticons bouncing all over the place, and I'm quite happy to see text that is uniform in size and colour across posts. It keeps the focus on the site's beautiful design, instead of making this space look like a MySpace comments area. ASCII emoticons are fine by me. =)
