This is primarily a note to the IB crew, but I wanted to see what the rest of the gang around here thought.

I think that it could boost VIP subscriptions if a "gifting" option were available--so for instance, Betty could "gift" me a one-month VIP membership. (hint, hint)

Then, I get used to the VIP status and reach a crisis point at the end of that month: do I go back to being a "regular Joe" around here, or pony up the money to stay VIP?

Just an idea. And if the IB crew decides to implement it, I expect to receive at least six gifted months of VIP status from various members as their way of saying "thanks for the awesome idea!"

(That last bit's a joke. I'm nowhere near that conceited IRL. At least, not that I'd be willing to admit.) ;)
