Knights of IB
We've got ninjas, pirates (go pirates!) and cavemen - but I think we are long overdue some Knights in the fair isle of IB! Josh's recent post about social gamers, and the new (awesome) Marseilles storybook delivery has reminded me that I meant to start a group for fantasy (online or otherwise) gamers - aka the Knights of IB. I don't do much myself these days admittedly, but used to love AD&D (back in the day), replaced now by more colourful online pursuits such WOW, etc.
Haha, perhaps I'm just showing my nerdy, geeky past (!) but if anyone fancies joining up, then just put Knights of IB in your profile. If you fancy adding something from Tower Grove Melee to your avatar, as a Knights of IB 'badge of honour', then all the better still :)

For some reason, this is one I'll join.
tommythewolfboy on Jun 15, 2007
dunno why, but I thought there would be more fantasy adventure game players on IB?! Maybe everyone is too busy sniping?! ;)
Just looks like you and me then Jahnoth, so far - the two crusading Knights of IB! I feel a Monty Python sketch quote coming on ...

With the addition of the Storybook set, I would think we'd get a little more interest.
minienvelope on Jun 19, 2007
What the hey, I'll join. I've always liked knights anyways.
dishg on Jun 19, 2007
i believe super mario is a knight because he saved a princess so i'll join!!! =)
BlackBart on Jun 19, 2007
Would like too - but armour and boats don't mix!
MrDee on Jun 19, 2007
Age of Empires, Age of Kings...
MrDee on Jun 19, 2007
Some pirates wear eye-patches, some armour, some suits most t-shirts.
tamashii on Jun 19, 2007
@MrDee: Won’t your armor get all… y’know… rusty?
gswd on Jun 19, 2007
Guild Wars and Dungeon Runner. Color me silver-ish.
gswd on Jun 19, 2007
I am being invisible I think. I joined the group, but I do not show up in the list. It appears that it is also happening to me in the Heroes tag as well. Hmmmm. Mysteries. Scooby-Doo! Where are you?!
iqon on Jun 19, 2007
ARRRR, if I be a landlubber I'd join the knights. But I'd wear hearty armor, not like those wimps in Moody Blues. Who ever heard of "Knights in White Satin"?!?!?
anti on Jun 19, 2007
@iqon around here that's called a toga party...
gswd on Jun 20, 2007
tried entering it again, and still nothing. I guess I will just have to be a lurker member.
khursten on Jun 20, 2007
you can't be ninja and knight at the same time. How can we jump up buildings with a heavy armor. ;A;
MrDee on Jun 20, 2007
@khursten Another good reason to be a knight!
gswd on Jun 21, 2007
@khursten - In my thoughts, the knights only wear armor for ceremonial purposes. Must stay nimble for combat, and that is why they have "magic" to make seemingly flimsy material as hard to cut/penetrate as plated steel.
MrDee on Jun 21, 2007
FYI Swine Time has a knight as well....
JTornado on Jun 22, 2007
Can the The Knights merge with Knights of IB?
elnitido52 on Jun 22, 2007
@Iqon - I have heard that song.
Love to but can't be a Pirate and a Knight at the same time. My parrot wouldn't like the cold armor :-D
gswd on Jun 22, 2007
Yeah! I fixed it! Now I officially, and publicly, am a member. Guess it's time to change the avatar.
tommythewolfboy on Jun 26, 2007
@JTornado - of course - more the merrier :)
Haha, I do consider myself both a Pirate and a Knight of IB, but recognise that might sound a bit odd - same for the ninjas out there I suppose. I think it is fine to be both though - perhaps that would class me as a Knight who just likes to travel ;) A Knirate!
louiemctool on Jun 26, 2007
um, wasn't "Sir" Francis Drake a Knight?
annethecat on Jul 07, 2007
Is there any rules for joining the Knights?
MaskedJedi on Jul 07, 2007
I'm a hardcore fantasy gamer, and I'd join but...
Knights aren't my thing.
annethecat on Jul 09, 2007
Well, for better or for worse, I'm a Knight. I'm also a pirate. Knirates rules!
tommythewolfboy on Jul 10, 2007
@annethecat - not really - it's just an IB group for people who like gaming, etc. There's no code of practice or anything like that, which is also why I think it is fine to be a pirate/ninja as well as a Knight.
'Knirate' Tom
MaskedJedi on Aug 09, 2007
As I said before, I really feel compelled to join, but...
I can't be seen associating with Knights! That's not how I RP!
So, I'll create a sister group: the Rouges of IB. For all you out there who prefer to stay in the shadows than steal the limelight, who like dirty tactics, and who think Knights are idiots for sticking to a combat code of honor...
Rouges of IB! Join today! Only a slight chance that we'll backstab you!

Rogues of IB
I love it! Makes me think of Bard's Tale. :) Had I not already committed to IB Shinobi Clan, I'd be slithering in the side door and requesting permission to join your guild. As it is, I'm still pondering...
MaskedJedi on Aug 10, 2007
Oh no, you can be in both. I am.
Ninjas are rougy. So are pirates. i don't care. Just don't pick my pocket or you'll regret it later...
tommythewolfboy on Aug 10, 2007
"Rouges of IB" sounds like an interesting group?! I have an image of ninjas in makeup ... ;)
janmaru on Aug 10, 2007
I'd rather join an IB Bushido group... after all japanese knights can shout in people's ears...
janmaru on Aug 10, 2007
and poke eyes!!!!
