Sure, i have the option not to buy them, but c'mon on man, take a look at them, you can barely recognize what they are for.

Those icons are so ugly, they have to Trick or Treat by phone.

Do you have anything to say besides bad jokes?

The icons are cool, they show another creative angle and just because they aren't cute and cuddly as I imagine you might like it doesn't mean the designer put a lot of time and effort into creating them.

If they are so bad, why don't you create some to replace them?

True, the designer put in (some) effort to create them, and no i can't even paint a single pixel (!) by myself.

I'm not looking for "cuddly" icons or anything in particular, but some icon sets shouldn't be allowed to be posted here, at least thats my opinion.

At the end of the day, you're getting these icons for free. You're not entitled to any sort of say of what you get or when you get it. If you don't like it, you have two options: don't accept the icon set, or don't log in to IconBuffet.

I have no problem identifying all the icons on Clairbone Tech, it seems that your substance as wotan call it, is not working very well.
Specially when you are using offensive terms to refer to something that is given to you for free from talented designers. The fact that you personally don't like a set doesn't mean that the set is ugly. Who named you design judge?

just a thought ... but you're not VIP (so you don't pay), you have few points (so you don't share much), so you are not as involved in IB community as you should to take the rights to judge sets.

A second important point in my mind is that if something is free, having it does not cost anything ! So take it for free or don't take it if you don't like it, but don't insult IB designers !!!

Last point : are you really silly ? I mean you say you cannot draw a single pixel, so who do you think you are to say whether something is cute or not ?

I'm not someone who can get upset easily, but when there are insults or disrespect, it's another story !

I wouldn't personally use them for anything, but they are actually quite sophisticated in the way they replicate newspaper print (with the little coloured dots)...

It really depends on your tastes and what you intend to use the icons for.

It's all a matter of taste and the Chefs offer a great mix of styles so there's something for everyone. I prefer Manhattan to Shanghai but I wouldn't dream of being rude about the latter.

IconBuffet is a friendly community of people and I'm really happy to be making some terrific friends. It's a shame if there are those who only want to take a negative stance; I suggest @thisisit moves to Second Life, where he can acquire a very large appendage and seek out like-minded spoilsports.

You know, I like coming to this site to see what's going on on the boards. But when I see posts like this one, it just makes me so angry. How many sites do you visit actual have the community experience this site does with FREE professional icon deliveries at least ONCE every month?

If you don't like it, we honestly don't want people like you here on the site. It's the freedom of choice. You don't HAVE TO ACCEPT a set you don't want or don't like. And if your only contribution is to insult the icons, just stop visiting. In fact, ask the chefs to remove your account. Because with comments like that, you are just ruining the experience for the rest of us.

Truly, just VERY rude. Where are your manners?

Maybe, we should hijack this thread and turn in into an IB Party. It's been done before, and with threads uglier and more perpetually "trollish" than this one.

I think the Pirates are more famous for their parties than any other group on IB!
