Notice of Eviction

As stated previously (and in my own Box), I start the arduous process of cleaning out my Friends List today.

There are two requirements to remain in my Friends List, and they couldn't be more simple:
1: Have an avatar
2: Have a profile

You only need to fill out one item in your profile to have that green area show up on your page. I will be checking and removing those members that have no avatar first. To those I know personally (a personal referral) OR have no avatar but a profile, I will send a notice similar to this one and give a little extra time. Once all the absolutes are removed or properly updated, I will start weeding through those members that have avatars but no profile. As it will likely take me a week or so to go through all the “No Avatars”, I will not be giving notice to those being checked in Round 2. You will simply be removed from the list.

If you currently do not have an avatar, I have kindly taken the time to provide four generic options for you.

Well, you're more organized or forgiving than me. Though I don't worry about profile I hate either broken avatars or anonymous grey heads showing up in the friends list, so I've removed anyone without an avatar. I also only accept people as friends if they have an avatar. I'll give someone a couple days to add one if they want to be added to my friends list, but that's about it.

Just remember, some people need help with avatars. I got many suggestions and offers to help place one on my profile, but it still took me a while because I am not very tech savy. Thanks to all who were patient with me and nearly held my hand through getting my avatar to appear. If it's just apathy, well.. then they really don't want to be here, do they?

I understand that there are those that may need guidance with uploading an avatar. However, if they ALSO lack any profile information (no green area present), then I believe it safe to think they are not active here.

i've been thinking alot about this since seeing your post in the "Don't take this …" thread. & i have an idea. (always a queazy feeling!)

btw - i am jealous of your originality & chutzpah!

i think we should get some kind of contest going to encourage people to get avatars. one of these contests where the people who get new avatars &/or profiles get to send sets to those members who agree to join an "Avatar Drive"
