FREE REFERRALS.
I'm kinda tired of people posting crap about me because of my referrals count.
Regardless, as I've reach 50,000 points and there's not much incentive to continue. I'm going to swap my referral link on my site with someone else's for a month. I can't guarantee the number of referrals that you will receive, since it has been a few months since I posted my link, but on some other referral program sites, I have accumulated over a thousand referrals after a couple of years, so the referrals will still trickle in slowly.
Conditions:
1. At least 5,000 points. You must have worked at getting your own points before getting help.
2. No Blogosphere badge.
3. Must acknowledge your addiction to Iconbuffet.
4. Post a convincing assertion about your need for referrals.
Detractors need not apply, bonus points if you worship me :P

I'll bite!! (I'm sorry, by the way, that people are talking crap about you because of the referrals.)
I'm currently trying to get the Blogosphere badge, and while I've posted a link in my journal, I'm pretty sure I've saturated my group of friends. :/ However, if someone else is in dire need of referrals, by all means let them have their chance.

You don't really need to do that silveria. There will always be someone who is jealous of your accomplishments. You're one of the hardest working people here. Those of us that have been around here see your deliveries, you've beat all of us to the punch at one time or another. Keep the referrals and get the 100k Badge.

I'm working very hard to reach 5000 points alone, streching out every posibility there is. For some reason or another, I can't seem to find people that'll be interested in joining this community, which is sad, because it's lots of fun. I was happy enough when I got my 5 referals badge, so picture my situation!
Plus, I'm a non-vip. We are hard workers :)

I totally would love to have this, but I also have to agree that it is your blog that pulls in the referrals. If you are popular, then you are popular.
I fit all the requirements minus the 5k point score. I have been getting about 1k a month so you can see how I have been working at improving my status.
I still think you are a master at IB and should join IB Monks. You truly are an amazing participant and definitely someone who we all want to be.

I probably qualify according to your criteria, but as you've stated before (except that I'm totally re-phrasing)— without someone to totally blow everybody else out of the water, how will we know what is possible?
Oh wait, I don't qualify. I don't need more tokens/stamps/points. I can stop any time I want. Really. Just because I choose to play doesn't mean I'm compulsive about it. I don't have a problem. It's a hobby, not a habit. Okay, so I do need more stamps, but it's just to help other people out. And maybe pick up a few more badges. And try to get extra tokens, which I don't exactly need but I wouldn't want to waste anything, would I? That would be wrong.

I qualify too, and for me it would be helpful because I have no referrals at all. I've tried to get people to sign up, but so far, no one has shown up. I'm currently out of stamps, and it makes it quite boring.
I do agree though, that you shouldn't feel obligated to have to do something like this, because it IS your blog, and your work that is getting people to join. Don't feel pressured into having to stop, or remove your link just so a few people shut up. It's their problem, with their issues, not yours ;)

You've plenty of referrals ? and so what ? Your blog is known and visited ... I think people often get suspicious when they're jealous. They can't figure how you've reached that score ...
I don't apply, because I try to convince myself I'm not that addicted to IB ... hard psy work ;o) Having tons of referrals won't help me that way !

Very attractive proposal. I think I might qualify.
I know it takes creativity to to get referrals and you are very creative. I think that jealousy is the only think that drives those who criticize you. I think you show wit of Internet and use your talent well. You are a true IB(er) which is shown even by this post. Since I got addicted to IB (almost sorry to confess) I started to look through profiles of people I wanted to learn from. You are one of those from who I would like to learn.

i'd love to have your referral link for one month as I am constantly running out of stamps to fulfill requests. i've worked really hard in less than three months to be at 12K, and i've been kicked out of two forums for posting my adoration for IB. :(
that beings said.. i think you totally rock with all your referrals and think this is an awesome idea and gesture on your part to share the referral love.. your detractors suck and are just jealous!!

sad to be kicked from a forum for that. When there was a post on IB for another free icons site, no chiefs went to complain ... I think just ppl being affraid and unsure for their site (because of quality, functionnalities, icons, ...) can react like that ...

I qualify! I'm definitely addicted in that I'm probably here more than I should be. :) I've put in the time and have been in the Top 10 off and on for a while. Dyar once said I was probably the first non-VIP to get to 10K without 25 referrals (I have a little more than that now). I've pretty much run out of stamps and my referral well has run dry. I'd like to have more referrals and points because, at this point, I don't plan to go VIP, but I'd like to have more tokens.
I nominate myself. And if you don't want to do it for me, do it for my boy! (What this gets him, I have no idea, but I will use his cuteness to my advantage whenever possible.)

Silveria, I believe I second all sentiments here when I say that's a very generous and a very tempting offer. Also, people who complain too much are Pod Six; but it's very easy to ignore Pod Six.
I'm beginning a heavy campaign of leaning on my real-life friends (seriously, I have some), and some serious forum seeding. So, everyone wish me luck. :)

I'd love to get the referral link. I don't yet have 5000 points, and I am currently in denial about my addiction. I think the biggest reason that you should choose me is because I've done just about as much as I can with the limited resources I have. I don't have a large network to ask for referrals from, thus I only have three. I'm not an IB VIP, because I don't have the $$ to pay for it. I've consistently sent and received sets when I'm able. My wings badge is proof of that. But hey, I do what I can.

I've currently got 9750 points and am | | <-->ve been able to accrue a significant number of points and sets over only a few months (on the new site) and am definitely an IB addict. ;-)

I don't know if you're still offering, but I'd love even a week of referral love... I've only had three, and I don't know many people that aren't already here. ^^;; I'm always low on stamps and would love more. Admittedly I'm dying to get the 100-ref planet badge, but that's just because I'm a space nut. The bonus tokens don't even matter that much to me, but a few referrals would inch me that much closer to 10K, and I'd love to clear into the five-digits, at last. :} I never have enough stamps to make a dent.
