Vote for StylePath on KillerStartups.com!

Hi!

So, I work for StylePath.com and we're launching very soon. We have an AI-based visual product search based on your individual style preferences and how they relate to different qualities in each product. (More below.)

To help get the word out, we've had the site listed on KillerStartups.com. If y'all could, I would really appreciate it if you'd check out the review and click the + sign next to our entry:

We're about halfway down right now, but depending on when you get this, we might be on the second page.

The premise behind our recommendation engine is this: With Amazon, if you buy 10 books, Amazon looks at other people who bought those 10 books and sees that they bought another book. You should buy that book, too! It's based on trends, not the items themselves.

What we do is, after you take a survey, we determine that you like, say, modern furniture with sleep lines, metal accents, and mid-toned (but NOT light toned) wood. Or perhaps you like classically styled watches with dark leather straps as opposed to oval-shaped watches with metal straps and clasps.

I can post when we're fully launched--we're very close--if anyone is interested. :)

Thanks so much!

Sean

Thanks for the clicks!

We've moved to page 2 on this. Thanks again for the clicks, everyone. We've got 22 so far. :)

If I read the description correctly, you hand selected 100k products from 1500 vendors. What if you don't offer the product types I am looking for? Or, how does a business other than the 1500 get added? From what I read, it sounds way to restrictive and exclusive, which makes me think that your company is getting a kick-back, or referral fee, for each customer you drive their way that makes a purchase.

Am I off the mark?

Well, yes and no. We're still adding products and vendors. That's just what we have right now for launch. We'll soon be adding art, apparel, textiles, and other types of items.

As far as our revenue stream, yes, we get a referral fee for items puchased through the site. Our service aims to narrow down what it is you like so that you don't have to sift through search results on several sites (up to 1500, I guess).

We just launched and got TechCrunched at the same time:

All that being said, what types of products are you looking for?
