When will the stamps come back?
Hello everybody,
I was wondering how/when the stamps that endup in "limbo" get returned to the sender. I saw a lot of reference to "da button" that the user or the chefs must "pushed" for the stamps to come back. Is it real? Do I have to send a mail to someone? Can I see (I didn't find it) how many stamps are "in the mail" and when some of them may come back?
I saw in the help (I think) that they should return after 7 days of the send, if so I guess some of mine should have return to me yesterday. Anyhow, an explanation on this would be great. (Also a "search" in the forum would be great because I guess I'm not the only person asking this question from time to time.)
thanks ! and happy trading :o)

They should come back in 7 days, but it appears that this process is not automated, and the chefs need to "push the button" in order for these expired stamps to return.

here is a post you might want to check for search in IconBuffet.

You can use this Point and Stamp Calculator to see how many Stamps you have outstanding. It won't tell you how many days they have been out, just the Total and the maximum amount of Points you can have given current conditions.

@ rossanyl - c'est pour ça qu'on a des amis, n'est-ce pas? :o)

@ dyar - Thanks! I saw this great tool a couple of days ago, that's where I saw that I had 155 stamps in limbo and was wondering when their suffering would end !
@ robbyrice - En effet!

I thought "da button" was a joke considering iconmaster himself says in this post - there is no button.
What is this, like "there is no spoon?" :P
JBVisions on Jun 23, 2007
There is no button.
I've had an email from one the the lovely, kind, and thoughtful oompaloompas the chefs have running the machines and he said that they'd found some problems with the way the stamps were being returned, they've got a handle on it and they'll be attempting a fix on Monday.

Personally, I reckon they're just not pedalling fast enough :)

Might need to dangle a bigger carrot in front of them to speed up their pace =)

I really hope that the fix will work! I'm almost out of stamps (only 27 left! yikes!)
I'd like to continue trading...

27! Lucky you. I have 0 and I'm desperately waiting on 5 to come back, how sad is that.
ChickAzul on Jun 25, 2007
I still have 2 in limbo :(
rossanyl on Jun 25, 2007
stamps still didn't come back yet. Luckily the refresh button on my browser is not a "real" one, I would have broke it but the amount of time I push it to see if there is some stamps back :(
jmnovak on Jun 25, 2007
Yeah, unless I made a math error somewhere, I think I have 5 stamps that are several days overdue now... luckily I'm not short of stamps at the moment, but it's still an irritation because it's harder to track stamps that have been out a long time...
JBVisions on Jun 25, 2007
Mine just put in a reappearance!
Winnopeg on Jun 25, 2007
165 stamps just came home... Wow! :D
rossanyl on Jun 25, 2007

JBVisions on Jun 25, 2007
Makes my 5 look a bit sick :(

you know what they say "it's not the quantity that counts, it's the quality!"
JBVisions on Jun 25, 2007
Well they must have been really good quality cos they've already gone. Sigh, another stampless week.

The spreadsheet calculater showed I have over 70 out there somewhere. wow! Can't wait to see those come rushing back to me. I haven't had that many stamps in a very long time... Usually I have around 10 or less.
tamashii on Jun 25, 2007
I just got 3 stamps back for a Silver delivery made over 9 days ago.
I am still waiting on 5 to be returned from a Gold delivery made 7 days ago.

Same problem here... Stamps are coming back really late sometimes...
