I don't want to sound like a downer, but there are quite a few good forums like that out there, that already have a lot of info/users.

Hey! let´s give him a chance! Why do you have to sound like a downer? If you visit the forum and don´t like, that´s ok. How many of you have 3 or 4 different anti-spyware programs? you are supposed to work with one, aren´t you? Why do you have 3 or 4? If you do not want to support him, at least let´s others do. There are many of you that are very well prepared in a subject, but there are many people just learning. This would be a great opportunity for them. Good luck!

I don't have a problem with it because it's a "me too" forum where many others exist, I have a problem with it because this message was copied and pasted directly to my Box and that of several of my IB friends.

There's nothing wrong with advertising your site here, that's why we've got the Showoff tab. But there are better, more endearing ways to promote your site than spamming, which imo only discourages those who might otherwise patronise the site.

Raj, given that other web dev/-design/-admin forums have several thousand members and hundreds of thousands of posts (and are, therefore, better one-stop shops for people doing research vs. socialising), perhaps one way to grow your own community would be to specialise in something that people might not find on those sites.

In any case, good luck with the site, and please be more conscientious about your advertising. Thanks!

I know well that this is a ME TOO forum, but remember everything is so! one website comes up and another and so on. and only the best one survives! I wanted to make that forum since most of my college friends are now working as Software engineers, web developers, etc. We are gonna use it well. And since the IB is a place for those who are interested in designing, web development, etc. thats why i added it in here!

Now all of you please accept my apologies! I am not a spammer! Personally i in my work i really have to write scripts to save our clients from spammers. I had mentioned what the web site is for and what is all about in the message, as if you are not interested you can just delete it !

I have removed all the postes i made in some of my IB friends Boxes! Sorry again! Especially to justG !
