[RESOLVED] "Sorry, something went wrong..."
Every time I send someone icon set, I get this error page.
Whole text:
Sorry, something went wrong. Rest assured we're looking into it. Perhaps you'd like to start from the home page.
Icon are sent, but this is anoying. I cleared cache, cookies and what not, but there remains problem.
Any idea? Or I missed some info about this :/
Thank you for your time,
Pedja

That was happening to me last month, i think sometimes we are just so icon hungry that we colapse the server a little.
cheiie on Apr 25, 2007
Are you using firefox?
anti on Apr 25, 2007
That happened to me. I think I was too slow. By the time I remembered which icon I was sending someone else swooped in and delivered it instead.
But that was not what happened to you if the icons were sent...
predrag on Apr 26, 2007
@senda: well, i'm getting this from day to day and it lasts more then a week (if my memories are correct)
@cheiie: yes, FX 2.0.0.3 on Win XP SP2
@anti:: it always lowers my stamps, but the trade list don't show delivey every time

I get this error via IE7, too.

Has anybody found solution for this?
It really start to going on my nerves.

Does this really happen to you every time you send a delivery?
predrag on May 08, 2007
Always when I send deliveries and add someone as a friend from their profile page.
Every single time :(
iconmaster on May 08, 2007
Have you tried turning off all your Firefox add-ons?
What kind of internet connection do you have?
Dave on May 08, 2007
This happens to me now and again too (not when delivering sets tho) - I think the server just gets a little overwhelmed at times and gives up on a few requests (or maybe they time-out) so that it can cope with the others. Bit of a pain really...
fake-edit thing:
predrag: I can't think how the browser you're using would effect this - it's a server issue as far as I can see.
JBVisions on May 08, 2007
Happened to me earlier on. The page just sits there for ages, and I mean, ages. Must have been at least 20 minutes, then it gave me that message.
Tried again and it stalled for about 5 minutes and then sent fine.
I don't think it's a firefox problem, I reckon it's just the slow response problem.

@iconmaster:
dial-up and it's ok (how much dial-up could be good?:()
I have del.icio.us, cutemenus, webdeveloper, scrapbook and download manager tweak installed. but everything, apart del.icio.us, is installed after I got that issue.
going to disable del.icio.us...
@Dave & @JBVision:
well, if it's server than I'm unluckiest m8 in the world =) as I share icons in dark times of server :)
thnx for answers :blink:
cheiie on May 08, 2007
I was about to say maybe cutemenus was an issue - but I re-read that you have this issue in IE7, as well.
Have you tried IE6, perchance?
predrag on May 08, 2007
@cheiie:
Nop, I don't have it here and I don't have that FX addon which emulates IE6.
I've just disabled all addons/extensions and the issue remains.
cheiie on May 08, 2007
Hm. All right.
Java, etc. is all up to date?
cheiie on May 08, 2007
Javascript, excuse me.
predrag on May 08, 2007
@cheiie:
jre-1_5_0_09-windows-i586-p.exe
Everything is enabled.
Hmm...I'm not at my home computer, but I setup here as same as at home.
I use Zone Alarm to protect my comp (dunno, have to think out of boundaries)
predrag on May 10, 2007
My thinking out of boundaries lead me to conclusion & resolution.
ZoneAlarm's privacy have been messing things around.
You need to add iconbuffet.com (NOT www.iconbuffet.com) to ZoneAlarm's Privacy > Site List and check 'Private Header' column in iconbuffet.com row.
That's it :) I hope I helped someone a bit.
predrag on May 10, 2007
Ok, probably I didn't checked private headers at the time of testing with www.iconbuffet.com...
so...
You can enter either www.iconbuffet.com or iconbuffet.com.
