On this Amsterdam set... anybody with a great number of stamps sitting up on their account should seriously consider acquiring it. 250pts each time you trade it. You trade it 40 times and you get 10,000pts. At 10,000pts, you get two extra tokens each months.

Have you seen how many sets have been released this month? 3 or 4. No way you will be able to keep up with your 10 tokens.

If you want to see pirates swarming like piranhas around a fresh bait, post your request here, on the forum.

The founding principle of the Pirates was that sniping the forums is okay but sniping people's private boxes, even if they're not whispers, is off limits, as all the Pirates in from the beginning well know. Maybe the Pirate leadership need to clarify that?

can you explain the difference? I thought "sniping" was sending people icons they didn't ask for?

No, that's spamming. Sniping is when someone posts a "I want to send you xxxx set" and when they get replies other people fill the request.

Anyone who's fed up of spam deliveries though and wants to hold stamps hostage, if they use the Firefox browser should check out my Spam Be Gone Stylish userstyle which as you'll see from the "before" and "after" screenshots hides the spam away so you don't see it. I'm currently holding about 20 lots of stamps hostage, but with "Spam Be Gone" on, I just get an uncluttered page with no deliveries. I just take it off once a day briefly to check if there's anyone I might want to consider asking to re-send when I have tokens or friendship requests (though I'm working on trying to keep the friend requests visible).

@predrag - no, you didn't do anything wrong by offering the AHS set. Just be warned that if people post a request for the set here in the forum it is more than likely that somebody else will fill that request. You did a smart thing in providing links for your page and your box. That is where requests should be posted if the person is concerned about sniping.
