What's the difference between referrals and fans? I thought they were the same thing...

A referral is a new person that you brought into the Icon Buffet.
A fan is someone who added you to their friends list.

Referrals are people that you have introduce to the site, and they have signed up under your link.
Fans are other members that have made you a friend. Yes a referral can be a fan. I believe that when you refer someone that you are added as their friend, and they are added to your friends.
