MySQL server issues

So I go and log on to my website and see that I am having SQL issues. Not too bad for my personal website. However, I host an alumni site for my sorority. And did I mention I just sent out a newsletter telling all the girls to visit the site...

Seriously, timing is just AWESOME!

Yeah why is that? I've had a similar thing. One of my sites got a slot on the radio. They told me it was going out at 10am. At 9.30 precisely the host crashed. :O

Fortunately, we were only down about an hour. And the host has been very good otherwise, I can honestly say. But seriously. I felt like the biggest idiot sending an email to all the members...

Hey suckers... You know the updates I mentioned? Well, our server is down indefinitely. Good news is, I'll inform you when it's back up. Bad news is, you have a host of teasers in your inbox with no site to visit!

i guess i just prefer to hold off on newsletters or announcements like that if i know we'll be doing maintenance or having downtime. Anyway, glad you could all relate to my venting... and thanks for letting me vent :)
