bootstrap boogie

does anyone work for or with a company that isn't 'bootstrapping' everything right now?

If I understand your comment/question correctly, then no, my company is not bootstrapping. Instead of hiring, or training, or allowing one to learn the skills, they have/are outsourced all website development and update work. As a result, I get to spend my days taking pictures and making them look purty for use on the website.

If you lookup "bootstrapping" in the dictionary, the name of the company I work at, should be at least in the first three explanations listed... the only thing missing on my desk is duct-tape...

"the only thing missing on my desk is duct-tape..."

bwahahaha! exactly. I have a box of saran wrap that I'm using as a laptop platform. given I have a very $$$ laptop, so that's cool -

I think what gswd said is maybe the way things are going in a lot of companies - but that makes positions like his a little more scarce. suxs
after a year straight of 'production' with little rev it's getting harder to stay focused.
