What icons sets would you like? Not ones that exist already, but things you'd like to see in the future?
Personally, I'd love an Alexandria Night Life. (It needs to have a martini glass.) How about an Alexandria Artist? (Paints, brushes, etc.?) I also really need an Alexandria trash can icon, so maybe an Alexandria Office?
You can tell what my favorite theme is, so what's your fancy?

KAHRules on Apr 09, 2007
Maybe something like Tower Groove Hieroglyphics That can feature the ankh, the sphynx, the ominous eye, birds, snakes, beetles, and so on.
kmfnj on Apr 09, 2007
I really like Taipei style - I know this would might be more like a commercial set, but I think a Taipei CMS, Taipei Buzz, even Taipei Arrows (Navigation) would be very cool. :)
KAHRules on Apr 09, 2007
Let's try Tower Grove Hieroglyphics instead of Groove.
Redmond Travel might be another idea where there can be an airplane, train, cruise ship, suitcase, passport, tickets, souvenirs, etc.
kmfnj on Apr 09, 2007
Redmond Travel
kinda like Kyoto Auto?
KatieK on Apr 09, 2007
I love the Durango series. I'd like to see anything in that.
dyar on Apr 09, 2007
An Office and/or Navigational Set would be nice. Also a set for use in online Auction Templates (that way I could put a referral link on my eBay Me page)
Halifax, SOHO and Redmond themes haven't been used in the Free Delivery Sets, so something with those themes would be a nice change.
Hoshichan on Apr 09, 2007
Anything Oslo or Durango is okay by me. :D
kmfnj on Apr 09, 2007
Interesting: SOHO is basically "cleaner" version of Manhattan

Good question, Mitten. I'm still waiting for "Manhattan Bartender" to extend the martini glass theme to a wider array of beverage options. :-) Or "Shasta Blender"...
I've been a fan of the Oslo and Tower Grove series...so any extra icons based on those themes would be fun to have. Though I confess, I'm not sure what kind of icons -- they've covered quite the gamut already...
Hmm...maybe a U.S. (or world) landmarks series?
mitten on Apr 09, 2007
Ooh - I love the Bartender idea, for any of the sets. Shakers, lime wedges, twists, olives - that could be great fun.

Great ideas people. We'll definitely keep tabs on this thread.
gswd on Apr 09, 2007
I have really started digging the feel of the Dresden and New York sets, and am planning a site redesign with some of them.
Although, I would like to see something with the Shasta look that I could use (sorry not much of a call for the robots).

gswd - I'm aware of some other Shasta collections in the pipe. Hmm...

I would like to see a set that is based in a bubble (just a clear little bubble holding the icon as it floats through the air). The color scheme would be similar, perhaps, to Shanghai (not necessarily style, but the candy-like color choices). I am not sure what the actual icon inside would be designed to look like.
You could have:
Bubble Network (a CMS set)
Bubble Atmosphere (the usual suspects in this set)
Bubble Delivery (Mail Truck, Aero Postale, Mail Box, Envelope, Package, P.O. Box, Mail Bag, etc)
A good version made specifically for blogs would be very nice.

Vegas Bling Kyoto Style. Poker Chips, Slot Machines, Russian Roulette Wheel, Lots of gaudy lights, Deck of Cards, Dice

mitten, you articulated my wishlist perfectly. The Alexandria line is my favourite as well.

I know for a fact that morethanthesky would love (and I mean LOVE) something like a Manhatten Badges set. I say Manhatten, as the current crop of badges seem to have that flavor about them.
This set would include all current badges as well as the larger sized Bronze, Silver and Gold medals (as she is really into the “awards” you guys have made). It may also include the mystery badges.
Another set I think I would like to see is something of a homage to Coin-Op games of old. Things like the joystick, rollerball, buttons, coin in the slot, High Score, 3-Letter initials that spell out PRO, etc. The style I see this in is more like Dresden, I think.

@mitten: shakers and olives! i love it...

I would also like to see something sports related. One of the sites I manage is the parks & recreation site for the city I live in and it represents different sports such as softball, aquatics, soccer, kickball, tennis, hike & bike trail, etc. I've seen wingdings that show sports-type iconography, but never a professional icon set. This is something I'd be willing to purchase if it was comprehensive enough.
Thanks!

I'd like more animals, especially dogs and cats. The few animals that are in existing sets are so cute, I'd really like to see more. Think of the variety you could get if they were in different styles, too.
Thanks!

I'd love to see Tower Grove Musician, a set with classical musicians, instruments, and music.
dakwegmo on May 11, 2007
I'd like to see some photography themed sets. Specifically, I need an SLR Camera icon. The SlideShowPro set gets close, but not quite.
I'd also like to see some outdoors, camping/hiking themed icons.
tamashii on May 11, 2007
I got a hunch a new Ashbury set will be released(teased) soon. No doubt, a few more of those furry critters some of you pine for.
@dakwegmo: SlideShow Pro maybe?
ChickAzul on May 11, 2007
I'd like a baby/nursery themed set, either Tower Grove, Ashbury or Amsterdam :D
iconmaster on May 11, 2007
That's uncanny, ChickAzul.
ChickAzul on May 11, 2007
(O_O)
I swear I had no idea!!
that is awesome!!
dakwegmo on May 11, 2007
SlideShowPro has some relevant ones, but I'm looking for more film photography related, and an SLR camera, not the point and shoot icon that's in that one.
manny on May 12, 2007
I would like to see 'Cub Scout' or 'Boy Scout' (or both) icons. Thanks.
infinity on May 12, 2007
How about scuba stuff OR tropical fish?
caradotcom on May 14, 2007
How about something with trains? I've seen cars, trucks and planes, but no trains :)
tamashii on May 14, 2007
I have stated it before, just not in this thread: Tower Grove Shinobi. A TG set centered around the Ninja that is seen in TG-Promenade.
I have also been asked if IB has a fantasy-based set (dragons, fairies, witch, wizard, gnomes, elves, dwarves, etc). This would also fit nicely in the TG style.
JBVisions on May 14, 2007
Oooh just started another thread. Horses. Loads of people ask me if we have horses.

Oslo, Tower Grove, or Dresden!
And of course anything Shinobi ...
mrspoomp on Jun 15, 2007
more car sets... i know my hubby would be more active on the site with some nice muscle-cons... like an american muscle series, going green with a hybrid series, maybe a off-road truck series... i know that there are issues with copying the actual big name brands, but themes like the dresden auto, kyoto auto... just some ideas ;-)
tamashii on Jun 24, 2007
Looks like more architecture is in demand. Specifically of the Greek variety. While we are treated to the Pantheon (of sorts) in Alexandria Architecture, some pillars and other structures of the ancient world are in desire. I could see some Roman classics as well as those from even Turkey mixed in for good measure. Alexandria seems a fitting style (in continuation of the already existing set).

searching for Manhattan Tech Toys, Sushinobi,Manhattan Veggie...
thx dudes
FallenAngel on Jun 24, 2007
I think more Manhattan styles would be good (not that the rest aren't good, but I really like the Manhattan series). Generally techy ones are always good, as are navigational ones, though admittedly most of them are covered in the stock sets.
Medical/disability related would be good and generally stuff that relates to web accessibility, and...
...well, okay then, just anything that's an icon around here's just usually too gorgeous for words :-)
FallenAngel on Jun 24, 2007
Oooooh! And transport ones that aren't just cars would be good to. A project I'm working on right now features IB icons heavily, but... *hangs head in shame*...there was some stuff I had to go to other icon sites for *GASP!*
Oooooh, and just ordinary people not dressed up as anything....though...<evil>...(and I've no idea what earthly use it would be), but as I'm having a 70s evening trawling through my old CDs, a Village People set would be very, very cool indeed!
Yeah, okay. I'm odd. *shrug*
KatieK on Jul 04, 2007
Um... yeah... that's not odd at all. ;)
I've been reading through this blog, and this one and this other one. I am amazed at all the requested sets that the chefs have made for us. We got our cute animals, our baby set, our ninjas and our sushi, and even 2 fantasy sets. Thank you chefs! You're super sweet.
I'll throw in my two cents for sets that I'd still love to see:
Durango Moon Landing - A cratered moon face, a landing module, Saturn and a rocket. Please oh please oh please!
Amsterdam Outdoors - With a tent, smores and definitely a kayak. I know a guy who would surely sign up for a kayak...
Legend of Modena - Start with the Cr03 with a Modena gradient on them. (I only need the 'cool' color scheme.) Then add a fairy, a sword, and a boomerang. Instant happiness!
Marseilles Patisserie - JustG called this one and it's still a good idea. Flour, measuring cups, chocolate chips, and a whisk.
Shanghai Big Kahuna - How about a Tiki mask in the Shanghai style? And a monkey, a hula skirt, and a drink with a big umbrella in it?

I know I keep sayin' it, but what the heck. I want credit card icons. I know this set exists but I don't like 'em; they're hard to read.

Yes, credit card icons would be nice. Also, I'd like to see some fall-themed set for Mid-late August or Early september. The Marseilles type would be nice, and there aren't too many of those out. It should include falling leaves, pumpkins, etc. Oh, and regarding kmfnj's Redmond Travel idea- a year ago, there was this article about how OpenOffice began putting ads all over the Redmond public buses. :-)
matthazinski on Aug 09, 2007
Ooh how about a New York Anarchy set!! And the bartender idea is good too but I'd like to see it more in the SlideShowPro style (black & gray base but with little bursts of color). The fall set I mentioned above I think would be better in the tower grove style.
SuperLlamel on Aug 09, 2007

Zodiac icons! As requested at What's your sign?
dyar on Sep 18, 2007
Here's some Zodiac Icons you can use until the Chefs cook us up some. Because of the detail and number of the Zodiac ones that would make a good Diamond Set (hint hint)
