Mind you, if you want really bad drivers how's this for an example......

[Quote from UK newspaper]
COPS arrested a man for drink-driving — and found he was BLIND.

Peter Tassi, 45, was pulled over in his silver Volvo when officers spotted him driving at a snail’s pace in the dark.

The charity worker — who wears dark glasses and uses a white stick — failed a breath test.

He had been barred from the road because of his deteriorating eyesight but could not resist getting behind the wheel because “he likes driving so much”, a court heard.

His lawyer admitted to JPs in Nottingham: “He is almost blind in his right eye and is partially sighted in his left eye — but it is getting worse all the time.”

Tests showed the road menace had 88mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood. The limit is 80mg. When he was stopped in Sherwood, Notts, it was the SIXTH time he had been caught over the limit. Last year he was hit with a ten-year ban.

Charities sent references to the court saluting his work for blind people. But magistrates heard he had a “serious drink problem”.

He also suffered from memory loss after being attacked by a relative.

His nephew had thrown a trowel at him, hitting him on the forehead.

Tassi, of Daybrook, Nottingham, admitted drink-driving, having no insurance and driving while banned.

He was ordered to attend a drying out clinic and will be sentenced in six months.[end quote]

By heck, seems like it's catching....

[quote from another newspaper]
A blind Iraqi who lost his eyes in a bomb blast was caught driving a car while receiving instructions on steering and braking from a banned driver, a court heard today.

Omed Aziz, who denies dangerous driving, reached speeds of up to 35mph on a half-mile route through Oldbury, West Midlands, in April.

Warley magistrates' court was told that Aziz - who also suffers from leg tremors and is partially deaf - was arrested by traffic police after removing his sunglasses to reveal his disability.

Pc Glyn Austin told the court that Aziz and his friend, Dlear Ahmed, were both arrested shortly after 11pm on St George's Day (April 23) after their Peugeot 405 was followed along Oldbury Ringway and into West Bromwich Street.

The officer said Aziz, of Birmingham Street, Wednesbury, pulled his vehicle on to wasteground after being informed there was a police car behind him.

"I attempted to speak to the driver, who appeared to be fumbling around with the controls," the traffic officer said. "At that point the passenger leaned across and stated 'He's blind'.

"We asked him to step out of the vehicle, which he did eventually and then Pc [Stuart] Edge questioned him as to his eyesight, at which point he then removed his glasses."

Prosecutor Peter Love asked Pc Austin if he had noticed anything about Aziz. Pc Austin replied: "I did - he didn't have any eyes, Your Worships."

Aziz and Ahmed were both arrested and were taken to Smethwick police station, where the former confirmed that he was totally blind and had impaired hearing in his left ear as a result of injuries sustained in an explosion. The 31-year-old also stated that he had previous driving experience prior to being blinded in his homeland. [end quote]

As long as she nee be sailin' the seven seas me be happy.

Seriously she needs to take advice from Joe Walsh:
   My Maserati does one-eighty-five
I lost my license, now I don't drive
I have a limo, ride in the back
I lock the doors in case I'm attacked
   - (from the 1978 song "Life's Been Good")

A dumb blonde (oh yeah, the dumb blonde thing is just an act...whatever) spends 21 days in a county jail and the news media acts as if she has spent 21 years in a federal penitentiary. "Hey, Paris, just because you're rich you don't get the break the law. Fire the idiot who told you that you could drive with a suspended license!"

@iqon - Life has Been Good, hasn't it?

NEEDZ MOAR JAIL

milovic on Jul 02, 2007

I honestly don't believe anyone can be that stupid. It's most definitely all just an act.

For example, look at the alleged friendship breakup between Paris and Nicole. They didn't speak for almost two year, they "hated each other" and so on... After those freakin' two years, they talked over the phone and made up. Were the cameras recording a new season of The Simple Life there by a damn wicked coincidence? I don't think so!!!

I believe it was all planed in advance. Their every move is pretty well planed. It's like having a scripted life. You do everything by the book someone wrote.

Pretty wicked, but somewhat cool. It takes a certain something to be able to live like that.

Respect for them if they are just acting.

maybe the chefs can put out a special "slore" set

redwolf on Jul 03, 2007

Why is this news? Who gives a toss about some spoiled bimbo?

Steax on Jul 03, 2007

milovic on Jul 03, 2007

Maybe their sidekicks messed up their brains. LOL

austingirl on Jul 03, 2007

@Steax - Yeah, what IS with the chefs? My bank account was debited twice in June! I have emailed them twice, with no response. Get off the iphones, guys.

Steax on Jul 03, 2007

Looks like they've reprogrammed their phones with LOLCODE too much and it's addled their brains.

JBVisions on Jul 03, 2007

Demand 60 tokens!

tamashii on Jul 03, 2007

austingirl on Jul 03, 2007

@JBVisions - If I could find the chefs I would demand an extra 30 tokens (30 stamps would be nice!).
@tamashii - who has undeserved freedom? Paris?

tamashii on Jul 03, 2007

@austingirl: ya. still seems her stay in prison was unduly short lived for the offense.

austingirl on Jul 03, 2007

@tamashii: I agree.
