Are random deliveries bad?

Just wondering if randomly dropping in on folks and dropping deliveries is considered bad etiquette. Particularly trying to snipe folks who have all the sets and trying to be the first to keep them up-to-date (a particularly fun past time lately).

ha. i don't think so, partly because it's gotten me 2000 points or so...

I don't know, when I get more stamps I add a few people and give them each a delivery if I have something they need, you should at least read their profile to see if they specifically state what they want or if they have tokens, some people leave clues in their avatar as well.

I'd say it's bad etiquette if someone's quite plainly stated they don't have any tokens.

As for sniping, as a Pirate I have to say it's all part of the game, but sniping in the blogs = good, sniping from boxes = bad, v. bad etiquette.

I can only speak for myself, but I think it is wonderful. Folks can now disable the email notification, so I wouldn't think anyone would mind.

One thing to keep in mind though. I personally am a lot more likely to accept a set when it comes with a nice note. Something short is fine, just shows a little extra effort. I'm always careful to drop a little message when I send someone a set they haven't asked for.

I've accepted the fact that we're going to get random deliveries. No matter what we put in our profiles they will still come.

At first, I rejected the random deliveries I did not want, then came more. Although I have had a note on my profile for two weeks saying I had no more tokens, I have received over 40 deliveries.

After agonizing over whether or not to reject the random deliveries as soon as they arrive, I have decided that I'm simply not going to release them anymore. I only get bombarded with more.

So, if you are going to send out random deliveries be prepared to have those stamps tied up for a week if not accepted.

I keep my collection up to date and have all sets (been a member for a long time). With all the sniper action both in blogs and in boxes my fun is in the sending. I'm all for spreading the IB love and like to think I'm sending someone a gift -- I do read the profile first though ... and seeing where they might need something to help out their collection and always drop a note. If they accept great, if not, that's okay too. All it takes is a click :)
