Yea, I loved the Mac OS classic days, the icons were amazingly beautiful, I was a fan of the Mac OS 8.5 icons which brought the 8-bit masks and millions of colors. I was too addicted to icons lol. I just had a count and I have around 50,000 32x32 icons, I organized them into categories: books, camping, furniture, fruits, folders, audio, fish, gaming, space etc etc you get the idea.

I kinda left icon addiction when OSX came out; iconfactory stoped doing the pixelpaloozas and it seemed that the whole icon world had gone into some sort of recession :D So it's very surprising to see this site do so well, it's exciting :)

Hey can I see a screenshot of your customized OS6? I'd love to see that. I really liked Mac OS classic, all 6 7 8 and 9. I especially miss pop-up folders, I think they are among the greatest most underrated inventions in a file manager. I'd trade off cover flow and stacks for pop-up folders. What a waste. Yea I still use Macs, I'm on Leopard, but I use Windows for work. I love OSX but hate the unresponsiveness, I just can't work on it.

About the icon artists, yea I did know iconmaster, I loved his perfect yosemite sets and I still use his "New Metaphor" set from 2002, which got completely canned from his new site? How can such masterpiece dissapear from the net? :D :P

I saw your post in the forum. i have a "rather" large icon collection, as well. Somewhere in the vicinity of 2.5 million! i've been a pixeladdict for years and have a growing collection of vintage Macs. I've customized my iBook to look like OS6 with color!

Do you know our resident chefs, EtherBrian & IconMaster? they've been making icons for 10+ years. do you have favorite icon artists? The majority of the icons i have are Japanese. There are still a huge number of artists that make 32x32 gifs.

Do you still use a Mac? It seems that there aren't many fans of the old OSs around here. There are enough to be able to ask questions when i run into a wall. You've got one ally here!!
