Oh thank you for the deliveries! You're sweet!

I'll happily take any sets you can send me. I've actually never listened to BBC7.

Shanghai Sweet Tooth sent as requested, and glad to be a helpful reminder of things too!

oh, and if you want something a little more fun to play around in HTML with, i strongly recommend Microsoft's Visual Web Developer Express. it will let you hard-code to your heart's content, plus it has a built-in WYSIWYG window, as well. it's especially useful if you want to learn ASP.NET, which is a server-side scripting tool...

Here is a quickstart guide for Iconbuffet (hopefully some of this you already know):

At the top of the page (below "Welcome to the ice cream social") is a tab [Free Delivery]. Select that tab and you can see all of the free sets available. Hover the pointer over the name of a set and it will show you the cost :
bronze-1 token, silver-3 tokens, gold- 5 tokens, and diamond-10 tokens
Select a set and it will: show you all the icons in the set, tell if you have this set, and if you are missing the set -show your friends that have the set; or if you already have it, see the friends that missing the delivery.

Everyone wants to send you sets because we earn bragging points, so ask away on anyone's site (most people prefer a whisper so no one will snipe the set - that's when a 3rd party sees your request and sends it before the page owner gets to it which "snipes" the points). The active people on iconbuffet are a friendly but weird group (which is why I fit in so well). Ask away if you have questions.
To "Whisper" check the box next to the Post Comment button. Only you and the page owner can see a whisper. You cannot whisper on a blog page. Some of us whisper in our own box to keep private notes.

If you want a set delivered in a minute or two post a blog from your page. The entire community can see it so be sure and specify the set you want, otherwise you'll get everything you don't have. You will find you spend tokens quickly so be choosy and only accept the sets you want. No one gets their feeling hurts if you reject a set. If you do not accept the set it will stay on your delivery "queue" for a week and then go away. It cost the sender stamps to send the set. If you do not accept the set they get the stamps back but not until you reject or they expire. If you requested a set and change your mind, it is proper etiquette to decline immediately.

You can only send a set if you have stamps. You get stamps with each delivery. The amount of stamps to send a set is based on the set's value.

Be careful - collecting icons for "future use" can be very habit forming.
