Welcome, welcome. I've been here for over a year and sometimes I'm not sure what is what, so don't feel alone! I see you've tried to add an avatar. that is good for a badge. It's a wedge of cheese, but non the less a badge. If it it keeps not showong up, try changing it to a PNG.That worked for me. Next, fill in as much of your profile as you're comfortable with, and then consider finding friends. Just look for others whose profiles look interesting or perhaps join one of the many groups orclans in the IB. We have everything from the Pirates with their "vitural rum", the Ninjas with their "swords", to people from particular states and folks who discuss the Holy Scriptures. The IB has it all. To join a group, just add its name under one of your lists such as Reading or On the Tube. As for getting what you want, you need tokens, which you get once a month, 10 (unless you pay to be a VIP), and to send sets you need stamps. For details on how that all works, click on help. The Chefs explain it very well. Anything else, just ask. Most everyone is here to collect icons and have fun. There may be a few tough types, but everyone I've encountered is helpful, kind and fun to know. I'm not tech savy, but I'm learning! If you want something you can whisper to someone so that they can send it to you, or risk being bombarded by the IB at large. That has to do with the points system.
