{CLOSED} speaking my mind
Ok. So I am sittng here, playing around on MY MAC, which is my computer of choice, realizing that there are some people in this world who are in-love their own words. I believe they ramble just to ramble, answer their own questions without a prompt from anyone else. I don't understand why is it such a big thing to debate (especially with one's own self) about who is better.
And if there was such a place for this debate, why make it IB? IB-er's are fun, easy-going, iconaholics. We don't need banter, unless of course it's about icons. (Or maybe the TP Overhand/Underhand discussion.) But politics and religion don't belong in the IB blogs. Aren't we supposed to have fun here? Aren't we here to swap icons and talk about them? That's what I thought, but it seems as though things are changing. Everything is becoming a "political" argument, whether it's about sniping or about someone's tribute to icons and IB.
Is this what it's coming down to? Knit-picking about everything, about everyone. I'm not ranting about someone else's knit-picking.
Maybe I am not sure of exactly what I am trying to say, but if it sounds crazy, let me know.
:)

some people have fun talking about things other people think are too serious.

this post is not meant to be an insult to anyone. i hope that people do not take offense to anything that i have said, but this something that i've wanted to say for a while. sometimes people are judgmental about others and i'm not trying to be that way.

it's true, some people get too serious when others are just having fun banter.

Since you were so quick to point out someone's typo here, I assume you want to know that you probably should have called this entry PONTIFICATION meaning "to speak or express opinions in a pompous or dogmatic way."
I'm just sayin.

I didn't think things were changing, I thought we were just getting to know each other better. I tend to treat the blogs here like like any other logs; some I read, some I comment on, and some I skip altogether. I certainly don't take any of it too seriously.

People on IB are really easy going. I personally view (with no intention on the chefs or anything) that IB is a "lightweight" system, as in it's a fairly simple process to get it working, unlike elsewhere which involves long register forms and feature-puffed forums.
Barely anything here is taken very seriously (aside new sets and features and icon requests). I like that.

I'd like to have fun here as well. Became almost a Junkie of this forum and the set's ... But beside this, I'm always happy to get information about graphics, webdesign etc. since I'm no webdesigner at all ;o) Helps me to get along a bit faster than usual with the things I'm not (fully) educated in. I don't blog that much, but, love it to answer or comment blogs ... and to chat about personal things with nice people here ;o)
