iPod Touch

Just curious before I make my purchase, has anyone tried the iPod Touch yet for any length of time yet? Any comments, pros, cons, etc.

i had to help someone try to get it to connect to the campus wifi...

never did figure it out. would connect, but safari wouldn't re-direct to our Cisco Authentication page...

sure looked purty, though.

Looks good to me but i'd go for the iPhone. It seems to have all the features of the iPod Touch with the addition of a great phone and 2mb camera.

Yes but you have a phone contract already, we can get it with just an 18 month contract over here, well from 9th Nov.

well, i don't like phones (once had a design job where i'd get 150 phone calls a day), so the iphone is no draw for me. i love the automatic portrait/landscape feature and that crystal sharp screen, and the fact that it's a flash drive as opposed to a hard drive and just how sexy it is... what the heck, i'm just going to get it! thanks guys!

I've got a 16GB iPod Touch; it's rather nice. The screen is uber scratch resistant, but the back certainly isn't. In a padded iPod pocket in my backpack, it managed to get a nice gash right near the 16GB text, and I've only had it 5 days or so. Also, the battery life is acceptable, but not great. I get less than 4 hours of video on mine. :(

I got the new iPod nano black 8MB for my b-day, and I friggin love it. I load tv shows on it and take it to bed, fall asleep watching them instead of crashing on the couch all nite and waking up with a stiff back

@louiemctool, but it is useful, for that tech-geek living inside of me. anyway was told by good friend not to buy as it is going to be my xmas present. "as visions of sugar-daddies danced in their heads..."
