@Iconbuffet: Exactly how do you use Amazon S3?
Hi,
ever since i'm working for two publishing houses we sell digital goods like ebooks and epapers. the only secure service we know right now is a proxy-service (clickandbuy.com) which manages the paid downloads for us but is somewhat expensive.
The problem: in the end we do not have the resources to stream content to secure the distribution.
Buying icons here i noticed you're using Amazon S3. After reading the S3 manual i think you guys are using the signed query operation which features expiration? But this still don't solve the problem of sharing a link for the time it exists. Last time i bought icons here i tried to evaluate this feature by asking a friend of mine to try use my link too and just as i expected it did not work for him. So you guys really solved the problem.
Maybe you'le like to share how? Reading the manual so far i can't imagine how to achieve the secure distribution to none-S3 users.
regards
Ludwig
P.S. pls don't freak out because i tried to share the link to test its abilities ;-)
