Smush It! (Smush it REAL good...)

Greetings!

Hey, I assume most of you have heard of it already, but smushit.com was unveiled a little while ago.

The site basically will analyze your images, and optimize them if it can using some OpenSource tools.

I ran a couple of my site's pages through it, and while the service is not without it's quirks (optimized .gif files become xxx.gif.png, xxx being the original filename), it did save me up to 15% in page weight on a few pages...

There are Dashboard widgets that do that, too. I liek. nao also has a web survis.
