cold outside is fine. unfortunately, at work it's cold inside! a few of us are using electric blankets. even our MacBook Pros don't stay warm enough to keep our fingers from freezing. i stare at my computer thinking about what i want to type before i stick my hands out of my blanket to type anything.

I just have 1 warm ear, the other is freezing! The cheese is good though. :)

Baby its cold inside too. Our warehouse area where our kilns are is 20 degrees Fahrenheit. Too cold to even start the kiln right now. What does that mean? Martini time...yippee

yar, i hear that.
i had to be truck-boy today while we unloaded the grocery delivery, and towards the end my fingers got cold enough that i started dropping stuff...

We should have our second winter storm here.
We got 20 cm of snow two weeks ago and now they predict between 25-40 cm from tomorrow to monday! Yippee! more snow! Me and my dog will go play in the snow :)
I like it when I walk in snow and I heard that crunch-crunch sound! we got it today -15C (that's about 5 F I think). What can i say, I'm a winter girl !
debbye on Dec 15, 2007
i like the crunch, too … but then it passes and i'm ready for cocoa!
Virginia doesn't crunch as much as MA does. that may have a weeny bit of reason why i left. i do like the cozy feeling of being snug inside with snow outside. And … it was my favorite time to horse back ride - amazingly peaceful in the woods.
louiemctool on Dec 15, 2007
ah, that brings back childhood memories...
we used to live pretty much out in the middle of nowhere. when the snow was coming down pretty thick at night, it wasn't hard to start wondering if the world existed outside the woods, since it was so dark and quiet...
:P

Being in Florida, I'll stay out of the whole "cold" topic, although I did grow up out west (New Mexico) and have lived in Ohio and Colorado, but feel that it is better (for me) to visit the snow, rather than vice versa.
BTW: if anybody is interested, high today (Sunday) 75F (already reached at 10:00 AM). High tomorrow (Monday) 60F. Time to break out the socks.

Louie back when I was a kid we had to walk uphill 27 miles though blizzards and 6 feet of snow just to get to school. Oh ya, 15 foot snowdrifts too hehe

Being in New Zealand we have just welcomed summer. If I wore that hat I would melt.
it looks good on you though.
