Token Sharing / Point Exchange?

I've been looking at all these "I don't have tokens" blogs and avatar/profile notes from everyone - and I wonder, is there any reason why people with tokens who can't use them right now couldn't "dontate" their tokens to another user?

Example: I have a complete set of icons, a ton of stamps, and 7 tokens. I know there will be more sets out later, but right now I'm more concernced with sharing my sets - but it has become more difficult since so many users seem to be "tapped out". If I could "donate" my tokens to another user (or multiple users) this would help them get sets and me use my stamps.

Thoughts?

Another idea: maybe instead it would be cool to have a points -> token exchange system? You get points for inviting users, right? So if you could maybe trade your points for more tokens, it might grow the community while also satisfying the need for more tokens. I'm sure somebody's already thought of or mentioned this, but I think its an idea worth considering.

Again: thoughts?

Sending your tokens to another user would prove very difficult to do at this time given the way the site is modeled. However, tokens for points... well, I won't say more. ; )

the reverse would be points for tokens.

As an example, I had 2 tokens remaining prior to my refill. That only means 2 bronze sets for me, if they became available. Well - with only a couple of days left to my refill and all 4 sets having been already released for the month, I would lose 2 tokens. Poor little tokens. To never be spent and meet their destiny. To have fate shirk them of their futures. So sad.

But with a Token Trade In, I could have submitted those tokens for points instead. Even if it is only valued at 10 points per token, it would have been worth it to use them for something rather than have them just disappear.

@ tamashii - I'm not sure that we are through the 4 Set cycle yet. IIRC one of the Chef's said that the 2nd Set that was released within 24 hours was a Bonus Set so that the first Cycle was 5 Sets. So, you may still be able to use your Tokens if the next Set is Bronze.

i hope we can eventually have some sort of "exchange room" where tokens, points, stamps, etc except icons can be traded at admin-set rates.

I'd love a point/token exchange too! I now have 36 stamps left but those who I sent icons too didn't have tokens left so it seems I have no use for my stamps... Having more tokens myself by exchanging my points sure wouldn't hurt either ^_^

I think it's a great idea! Especially points for tokens, which would make the points I have do something. By the way, do points actually do anything? Because I seem to be collecting them for no reason.

Super, no - they don't do anything YET. The chefs have kept it semi-secret, dropping hints here and there - eventually, they will do something.

Or, what about "Gifting" sets. I use stamps and tokens, and the recipient does not need tokens.

@ kmfnj - you must haave had a Token refresh already to have 7 Tokens left (I had all the sets on the Transfer and only have 5 left). My refresh date is on the 24th and I'm worried that I will not have enough Tokens to get the new sets coming out between now and then. Should a Gold and anything else come out in the next 3 weeks I won't have enough to get them. Bottom line is that I wouldn't gift Tokens even if it were an available option.

Stamps is what I need, I have more requests for sets than I can fill. The only way I know to get those is by getting Referrals, so I'd best get busy on that front.
