Shout Out to Our VIPs and Sponsors
This is a three-fold shout out to our VIP's, Sponsors, and DECK advertisers. As IconBuffet continues to grow (I think we crossed the 100,000 member mark recently) we'd like to share our gratitude with those who make this site possible. BTW, we're also grateful for the letters "I", "B", and the number "13" as well.
Anyhow, as has been recently pointed out, May was a record month for the Buffet with more icons, more collections, more stamps, and more fun. The Chefs are staying super busy creating new icons and adding new features to the community.

It must be incredibly cool if the chefs dare not speak it. What is it, I wonder? They dare not speak it.
First, becoming an IB-VIP was one of the best things I have ever done online. A close second to losing my credit card to Mojo the Sockmonkey who buys everything Mr. Cornell puts up for sale. It's nice to get surprises in the mail (and the surprise charges once a month).
Secondly, if I had a service or something clever to attach a Beta-tag to, I would absolutely consider sponsoring a set. Until then, my plans for global iconic recognition must remain on the bench. However, I can’t wait to see to whom the next sponsored set will belong.
Finally, I couldn’t be more pleased that you guys landed a spot on The Deck. Simply put, a higher class of advertising.
I wish I had a better memory so I could recall what brought me to the Buffet, but I don’t. I’ve already forgotten what commercial was just on (though it could have just been a poor commercial). Regardless, it’s awesome to be here, be a part of this community and it just keeps getting better with each day.

Sponsoring a free delivery can't be cheap. I mean 100k+ web addicts? That's a decent audience. I'd say the cost would be in excess of $5k. That'd be some spendy stamps.

I was wondering how I did mine so quick with PayPal and then remembered that I used my PayPal Debit Card and the regular VIP sign up form. Got 1 1/2% cash back from PayPal too.

I know! There will be a time machine or time warp icon set released to VIPs. We will be instructed to use it to go back in time to 1 week after Josh's 'next week' message, where/when we will be told that the 'something totally cool coming down the pipe' is a time travel enabled set for VIPs. The burst of temporal activity will cause a few problems with the overly taxed IB hardware and VIPs will become trapped in a June 2007 time loop indefinitely, or until a critical paradox occurs.
If I'm right, I'd like to win a prize of having dinner cooked for me tonight (which will be possible thanks to time travel, and irrelevant because I'll be trapped 2 weeks back). Hope those Texan boys know how to cook without meat.

I was re-reading this thread, and noticed what mik said on June 25th. Has the testing of the mentioned iconset been the cause of all the IB server problems? As the critical time event happened and that is why things seem to have stabilized, or did I just jinx the servers and they are now prepared to tumble down a ski slope as if on Rollerblades.
