PayPal VIP Upgrade Support
We're getting very close to having PayPal support for VIP upgrades. It basically works, but we're still ironing out a few details. Anyhow, I'm opening this thread for anyone who would like to upgrade to VIP and pay with PayPal.
A couple details: First, we are only able to support annual memberships, since PayPal's support for month-to-month billing is a lot of hassle. Annual VIP membership is $48, paid up front. VIP membership gets you more tokens per month. It removes the adsense ads from Profiles and the Blog Forum. It gets you $25 off any item in our Stock Icon store. And it helps support this wonderful community. Seriously, the more people we can get to upgrade to VIP, the more likely we are to get that fooseball table.
Seriously though, a ton of work goes into this site and we'd love to spend even more of our resources building it out. We're super grateful for our VIPs because they really do make this site a success.
So, if you have money burning a hole in your PayPal account, leave a comment here and we'll be sure to let you know on Monday how this is going to work. Again, it will be $48 for an annual VIP membership. Thanks again.

yea - my problem is im only oging to want ,say, a month at a time, which is £3 over here - however my bank charges £4 for currency change. any ideas?

@ christopher: If you fund your PayPal account with GBP and send USD, PayPal handles the currency conversion, not your bank. Can't help you with the month-at-a-time thing, though.

Thanks guys. And yes, to reiterate, we will only be selling 1 year memberships via PayPal. If you want to go month-to-month, you'll need to use a Visa or MC.

getting close. the weekend's token recount bug took a few development cycles, but we should be there shortly. I'll post back here again soon.

Okay folks, we still do not have UI designed for a PayPal VIP, but the functionality is done. That said, I'm going to start a new thread letting you know how you can sign up in just a second.
