PackRat Update: Happy December Edition
It's been silent on the PackRat front, and I figured you all needed an update on the current state of affairs. As previously mentioned, we delayed the launch of PackRat to make some sweeping changes to the game. Those changes are coming along well. We're really thrilled with what's been built.
So here's the gist of things: We still have a few more things to do. The game is working again, but is unpolished in places. We're anticipating rolling the game out to a handful of beta users again in a week or so — However due to Christmas vacation, we've decided to wait to make the big PackRat splash until January.
For those keeping score at home, this is delay number 2 or 3 depending on your logic. That said, I'm pretty confident this will hold. We simply don't want to launch the week before Christmas, then have the game break under the pressure of thousands of players while we're trying to have a happy Christmas. Hope this makes sense.
Also, for the curious... while we have made some major UI improvements since we announce the original delay, we've also bumped up the cute factor on the game a couple notches. If you like cute, you're in for a treat. More news to come in few days.

that would have been nice to be able to play during the holidays vacations... oh well. This is normal delay for software, it is the 20% at the end that take 80% of the time ;)
We'll wait for the New Year goodies then!

Oddly enough, since the last announcement on PackRat being delayed (prior to this one), my Facebook account has seen a decline in use. Apparently, despite there not being a game yet to play, my activity there is tied to its development.

JBV — I can't really confirm anything as it relates to the PR set. This is mainly because we honestly don't know how we're going to release it yet. While the delivery is somewhat tied to our launch schedule, that launch schedule is in complete flux... so take this however you want.

Perhaps it should be taken off the Free Delivery Page. It's showing a release date of 11/12 and is causing confusion among Members wanting it. Also it is showing 10 Icons in the Set and there are now 11.
