PackRat Delayed!
Well folks, I'm extraordinarily disappointed to have to tell you that we're delaying the beta launch of PackRat for a couple more weeks. I know I'm going to be dealing with a very frustrated audience here, and I'm certainly very saddened to pass along the news.
Without going into all the details, we decided to make a somewhat substantial fundamental change to the core game. It's a change for the good, but a change that needs to be made before we launch. It's going to take us a little time to retool it.
A few limited beta invites have snuck out the door, and we'll be cutting off that flow temporarily. In the meantime, we'll continue the regularly scheduled flow of Free Deliveries for our IB fans. We certainly appreciate your patience as we work out some of these details. We really can't wait to launch this sucker.
And now I'm going to duck.

Thanks to everyone for your understanding. Yes, this will probably delay the delivery of the PackRat Free Delivery (we intended them to coincide). So yeah, we kinda jumped the gun. You live and you learn, eh?
That said, the game is so going to rock. We really are just itching to let the rat out of the bag. Okay, that was lame.

Aww, bummer. But good things are worth waiting for I guess.
But you COULD distribute the diamond before the game ... you know, to build more excitement. And appease us while we wait. ;)

Maybe they have the time now to put that cute little Fat Rat in the Set now. That would really make it a prized Diamond Set.

Diamond Sets are supposed to be hard to place, thus the Bonus Points. If it was distributed to non VIP's it would then be very easy to place since many of us VIP's waste 14-20 Tokens each month.
When the Chefs were actively soliciting VIP's they said that they were going to try and do something special for VIP's each month. There hasn't been a VIP perk since the last Diamond Delivery on 4/23/07.
I guess time will tell.
@Psy2k I wouldn't expect another Diamond Set until at least the First Anniversary of IB 2.0 on 3/9/08. They don't want to make Diamonds to common.

@Psy2k & JB :: i opted not to fill in the invitation request as i figured the chefs were gonna send out the beta invites when they were ready.
You can find the app page rather easily if you have about 5 minutes. I couldn't scrape together those precious minutes until earlier today. Oh, and I was bored.

I'm almost 100% certain we've never promised a monthly extra. I can see where you'd get "extra tokens every month" and "occasional surprise" conflated, though.
Anyway, to partly make up the delay to you: we're going to get that rat character into the PackRat set. Keep your eyes peeled.

So will this diamond set be for all the VIPs or just group 3?
During this 2 weeks of waiting, I hope another sets will be out and probably the diamond will be moved for Group 2 (mine).
