Freaky Downtime
Sorry for the outage this morning folks. We had some minor technical issues throw a wrench in the server early today, and unfortunately — since it's July 4th — we weren't really paying attention. Things are back up and running. Sorry for any inconvenience. We hate to prevent you from earning your points. So... get back to it! : )

you could give some 'sorry' points to balance ;o) I'd prefer some tokens, but beeing this famished is not good ...

It wasn't 'this morning' for us, it was all day! If I'd had a phone number I'd have called you at 3am your time to let you know. Just stick one on the contact page will ya? :)

I swear it wasn't me monkey that threw the wrench (was it a monkey wrench?).
@gswd - I sent an email to the chef before heading to the beach.

Sad thing is that this was an easily avoidable downtime issue. Our stupid bad. Oh well... better luck next time, eh?

MrDee since you live in the future how about warning the chefs before there is any downtime.

I swear this is true:
My group at work supports the mainframe computer software, other groups make changes and break stuff, we have to get it resolved. a few years ago after we had a CICS (mainframe online) outage, a programmer (not just a user but a stinkin' programmer) sent us an email requesting
"in the future please notify us in advance if there are going to be problems"
the gooberhead thinks we are clairvoyant or something.

@ iQon - ooh dear, looks like they might have had more than one email then ;)
