About Blog Categories
Okay, so you're probably noticing some new tabs in the Blog Forum today. We've added a couple categories for your posting pleasure. Without further ado, here's some thought on how to use them:
Swap Meet
This is the place for trading icons, meeting friends, and pretty much anything else that is specifically related to the "game" of IconBuffet.
Show Off
This is the place to share your work and other sites with with the community. This doesn't necessarily have to be related to IconBuffet. However, if your post links to external work that you've done, portfolio sites, or your use of IconBuffet's products, this is definitely the place to put it. Side Note: While we're totally not into censoring, we strive to run a family show here at IconBuffet. Use your better judgement on what you link to (i.e., try to keep it PG-13). Please do not link to adult sites. We reserve the right to remove any post or links for any reason. Thanks for understanding.
Blab
This is for everything else. If you want to talk about the latest movies, music, and games or how hot you think Keegan is, the Blab category is your place. Think of it as a catch-all. If it doesn't specifically fit into either of the categories above, drop it here.
News
This is a category reserved for IconBuffet-specific news from the Chefs. Check here to get the latest and the greatest.
If you have questions, let us know. Also, we really don't have the time to police the categories, so if you feel someone has posted something in the wrong place, you might just give them some friendly encouragement to change the category.

Mmm where should we add the suggestions and bugs and such? Would the swap meet area be appropriate?

Throw suggestions under blab. We'll find em. If you have actual serious bug issues, we don't mind if you post them to the blog, but sending us an email may result in a faster response.

When I edit a previous post to set a different category, it won't take? I tried setting an icon post to Swap Meet but it really wants to be Blab, despite my best efforts. Help?

Might be an Idea, to put the "Categorie" Title under the "X Munutes Ago / by Mr X" in the "Last Post" Colom so when browsing the "Everything Tab" you can see where its been posted.

I noticed that one of iconmaster’s threads (How It Works) is highlighted green, which is different than the other News items. Why is that?
I second MobiTec’s suggestion of adding a category tag under the thread title.

I just noticed it to and came to post! :) Only, it looks kinda turquoise to me. ;)

It is, in fact, sticky.
Just updated two threads and it didn’t move. However, Comments have also been disabled for that thread. Whether that is a result of making it sticky, I don’t know.

No, they're separate settings. It was getting a bit unwieldy with all the comments, so I closed it.
