I've been practising whilst walking round the office, eagerly waiting for any excuse to swear in french, "où sont mes putains de stylos?!" ..."et où sont mes putains de bananes?!"

hee ! i've been imagining you wandering around your office muttering in french, and laughing all day. languages are fun ! i'm glad you like. i hope i can contribute to reduce your stress through hissing "ssssaleté !" whenever necessary.

"and in the interest of preserving good franco-britannic relations" I like this :) i beleive it's good to be friends with your neighbors whenever possible. with the eurostar england is really not far away, don't want anybody starting trouble !

are you taking spanish classes or learning on your own ? i have heard people say it's hard to study french and spanish at the same time, because they are similar so they get confused. i'm sure you can come back to french later, especially if it's your favorite... i would like to learn italian and polish, when i get the motivation. i don't think i need to worry about getting those two confused !

hee ! zut alors ! yes we do, but only when we don't *really* want to swear ; it's like saying "gosh" in english i guess. so you say it to a child, or when you are a child, or maybe to your boss (depending on who you work for). when you're *really* ticked off you can say "zut flute !" personally... not so much, i guess i have a dirty mouth ! i could teach you some grownup swear words if you want, but only if i won't be debauching you... you're older than 13 right ?

i like mint tea in summer, and spicy chaï is the best ! i love it. i used to know a guy who made it from scratch, including boiling condensed milk... oh man, i can't even tell you how good that was. and about as addictive as crack, too. i'm too lazy to go to all that trouble every day though. and i have to say the indian grocery stores have some pretty good ready-made stuff for us "instant gratification" advocates... a tea icon set would be brilliant. they could call it "Bristol Cuppa" !!! (should we tell the chefs ?)

tea is always good. i don't know how i would survive without it. what kind are you drinking ? me, lately it's lapsang souchon, ceylon or earl grey, and spicy chaï sometimes. so do you say "cuppa" in real life or is that just on tv ?

"silly clients, always asking for stuff." I *know* !! sheesh. don't they know we have other things to do ? (like running through forests... or sometimes just staring into space). oh well i guess nobody is going to pay us to stare into space... *sigh*.

sadly, i think we can't do everything (there's just not enough time). frustrating isn't it ! i never have much time to concentrate on code, but i wish i knew enough javascript to modify the ready-made stuff i use myself (although, since i don't, thank god for forums), and i REALLY wish i could code ActionScript (i love flash, i wish i did more of it. accessibility be damned...).

for now i just try to keep up with the latest versions of css, xhtml, dhtml (i'm lost on that one)... sheesh, there's plenty to do right there...

Hello Jake, Buffalo 66 made me (among other things) want to take up tap dancing, which is no mean feat considering my previous opinion of it... and of course, red shoes too, but actually i have some ! hee !
