I can only see the cheese in some users badge collections, still there are many who have avatars but no cheddar.
What gives?

Just a brief note, I'm not sure the logging-in/logging-out thing is working for OpenID. I loogged in and out several times with OpenID and there was no sign of any badge, but it did appear when I used my normal account details.

Heh that post comment button needs to have some visual feedback. Maybe disable it until the comment is confirmed, or clear the text box? The latter there sounds like a bad idea if the post truly fails though.

self - there are badges for sets given via level. 5 Bronze Deliveries, 10 Silver Deliveries, 20 Gold Deliveries, etc.
I have given an incredible amount of deliveries (more than 20 Bronze alone) but I don't know the full extent of badges available for all of them.

tamashii - I beleive the medal badges relate to how many sets you OWN rather than how many you've delivered.
And there ARE special ones for 20 silver and gold sets, but I don't know if the chefs would want me to reveal what they are. :"

@watehey - how are you aware of what the badges for 20 silver and gold sets look like? I suspect they are similar to the bronze badge for 20, only in silver and gold.

Curious as to why Sly has that badge though - I thought they were for OWNED sets. And besides, I've sent buttloads of deliveries - surely I've passed the 20-count on both silver and gold.

that was my sentiments, exactly watehey. I own all 63 deliveries (plus the vector set they removed when introducing the new site).
After some thought, I still believe it is for number of sets delivered, not received. Though, holy cow patties, you have a ton of points, watehey!

it's odd, 'cause if it were for deliveries gotten, there are only 16 silver sets out (17 gold and 30 bronze)... maybe he has a couple duplicate silver sets (that bug that people are describing)

Unless the system only counts if you've delivered 20 different sets in a class.
I've almost certainly delivered more than 20 silver sets, but it's also likely various members have asked for the same set.

to be clear, there are the following amounts of each level:
Bronze -- 30 sets
Silver -- 16 sets
Gold -- 18 sets
@watehey: ya, i did the .gif lookup on the badges to see what all were available. As there aren't 20 silver or 20 gold sets available yet, that is why I thought I didn't have those badges.

@dyar: the badges are applied retroactively upon signing in if you had an account prior to the new design of the site. I started out with 0 friends and points when the redesign went live, but had all the badges I have now the instant they were made available.

Man, I can't believe people have spreadsheets on these things already. The new badges might not be an automatic thing. I had the Gold Delivery 10 Badge at the transfer and delivered out at least 20 Gold Value Meals yesterday (most of which should be claimed), so I should at least have the Gold 20 Badge by now, but no Badge.
Since I'm effectively out of business (see the Stamps Blog), I'll tell you what I did. I sent everyone on my Friends list that had 62 Deliveries the Value Meal. Why?, because I knew that they didn't have it and that they had Tokens that couldn't be used for anything else. Points skyrocketed (still not sure what benefit they are other than looking good), but Stamps took a major hit.

It's confusing, but the # deliveries badges are actually calculated on the deliveries you own, not how many you've sent.
So the silver bullet and pot o' gold showing up for anyone is a bug related to deliveries getting counted twice in some cases.
(This will be fixed, so if you have the badge and lose it shortly, well... we'll give you the opportunity to earn it back.)
