I was reading your post in the forum, and I hope to clear up some confusion that you may still have.

I have used icons from the Buffet on various websites. According to the Terms for the icons, I am able to do this, as long as I do not share the entire set with anyone (ie distribute).

I do not believe that membership is required to use the set once you have it. Membership (which as you found out is free) is only required for you to obtain the free sets. There are also the Stock Icon sets which are much more useful, but do cost actual real money.

If you have any more questions feel free to ask away. We are, as a group, mostly harmless.

OK, I'll do it in bits as it's easier that way. :D

I remember the first thing that confused me was the whispering. It's really very simple: if you post a comment as is, everyone will see it. If you check the Whisper box, only the person who's page it is will see your comment on their box. It's coloured green and you can delete it if you make a mistake. I will leave this comment open in case it's a useful note for other newbies.

Second, always always accept the free sets sent each month by the IconBuffet chefs. Also on the same day each month you will receive ten tokens, used for accepting sets from other IBers - and ten stamps, used for sending sets to other IBers (of course you can't do that till you've got some to send!).

You accept or reject sets by clicking yes or no next to the set. Once you've accepted a set it's yours to download and use. I've sent you some good starter sets to get you going. Enjoy!

More to follow soon.
