Personally, I don't care - I don't run after points or anything :) Icons are odorless - you get them from who you want :)

The etiquette here is in fact quite simple: if someone asks you a set in your box, it is considered better to let you send the set to that person. If someone asks you a set in the forums, this is considered a public demand - so anyone can answer. This is how I interpret the behavior of most people here. Of course, I may be wrong :)
