Blinksale: Easy, painless, online invoicing for small businesses

New Request - Instructions Category

Hi! Quick request for you on the blogs (forum) section of IB - is there any chance you can add a category for instructions on whatever? Like a how-to area. For things like FAQ's on how IB works (lots of postings out there about that right now), what all the tokens and stamps and points are for, how to get friends, etc.; and there's a great thread out there now that Mik posted about embedding links into postings. Just seems like having one category where anybody can find any of these things would be useful. Thanks!!

This is a good idea - as it is now, some of the helpful/FAQ posts get buried with current activities, and without a search function, it's difficult to find them. So, this would be an asset.

Just click the Help Link at the top right of this page and you will get a Chef Tutorial.

The basics of IB can be accesed by clicking "Help" (near the Logout link), it directs to the "How does this new IB work" thread...

I've been out on the Help thread and it's great, but it's also very long. There's a ton of stuff out there that's useful, but - just speaking for myself - I tend to be either impatient or in a rush depending upon what else is going on, so I'm less likely to want to take the time to scroll down the entire string to see if what I'm looking for is there. I suspect that's why a lot of people are just posting other questions in the forum and getting answers directly from one another. At least if there was a category in the forum for how-to's, there's one place to look to see if there's a topic or thread specifically dealing with what someone is looking for...

How about changing how the community vs. news sections work? Right now it's divided by who posted it, not the content.

If IB chefs could designate select topics to be listed in 'news' regardless of who posted it originally, then the tabs would be more useful. (Particularly if eventually combined with a sticky-post feature).

Some of the posts from iconmaster and josh could be toggled too, from their 'news' default to 'community'.

I don't know how technically viable that is, but I'm assuming the tabs can handle some criteria other than just who posted.
