Another year older and wondering if it is all worth it. The mood swings have been huge lately, trying to decide if the IB staff still loves us, or if they are spending all their time with new little baby in the family. Do we as the elder sibling accept our new role, or do we act out to try to garner our creators attentions as either positive or negative affirmation of our existence? I do not know. There could come a time that you notice an awful smell coming from floorboards. And when you do, just ask "has anybody seen gswd?" It'll be good to know that someone is looking, even if the Chefs don't notice when we are gone."

On February 10th I write:

"Boredom got to me today and I visited Iconshock to see what sets I was missing for this month. Found it interesting that they are now selling website templates as well as icons and logos. But who would go to a template outlet and look for Web Design based themes? That does not make sense. Oh well. 7 days and counting. I'm sure that I will be underwhelmed."

On February 9th I write:

"Now comes the time that becomes most unbearable. It is my Friday at work, and I now have 32 fresh tokens, having just lost into the Inter Tube System my previous 26 tokens that went unspent most likely due to the PackRat development and play time.

It is now nearly a week until my 2 year anniversary date on IB. I know that there are people that joined in the months preceding me, but I cannot remember who they are, nor do I feel like going back and finding the "who's the oldest IBer" forum thread. Oh well. It's only 8 days and then I get to find out if there is a 2nd anniversary badge."

"'Tis now only 9 days until my anniversary in this great Iconic Land of IB. What have I learned? Well I learned about Drupal and Joomla. I learned about community and what friendly people are really like in an online community. I have learned that no matter what you are going through, there are people here to help you, support you, and share your troubles. I learned that while I am not always nice and upbeat (having the occasional 'Grumpy Old Fart' moments), those moments are forgiven and forgotten, because we are buddies, chums, pals, and dare I even say - friends.

Thank you IBers, for showing me that an online community does not need to be filled with flames & trolls. noobs & pwnage. Thank you for being real people, in a real community. You are *make it sound swooshy* "AWESOME" & "FABULOUS"! "

On February 7th I write:

"My 2nd IB birthday is February 17th. Will there be presents? My tokens will only be a week old at that point. Will there be cake? Will the Pirates bring rum (even though I am no longer one of them)? Will the Ninjas bring Rice Wine (or Sushi) - (even though I am no longer one of them)? Will the cavemen build a fire in my honor (even though I am no longer one of them)? Will the Monks chant with me? Will the anniversary "count"?

I can only wait and see."
