I just read Wild Seed (on a recommendation I pick up some Butler) and loved it! She's pretty brilliant, that's for sure. Haven't started Clay's Ark officially, but it's next in line (after Plague of Angels).

i agree-- a calendar would do the trick. a little boring, but i think the chefs could spice it up some.

No problem. I was just browsing through my clans, trying to share the love.
So, um, have you ever knitted any LEGO bricks?

KatieK on Aug 01, 2007

Hello Lego clan member! I've changed our clan name to "IB LEGO Clan". Now we will match the IB Clan convention, and fulfill a 'LEGO is capitalized' rule, too. So, if you could change your profile just a bit, that'd be great. Thanks!

Are you my Mommie?

debbye on Jul 07, 2007

Due to the simple fact that i have no life, when me2orion made me aware of this site, i thought of the IB Lego [clan/guild/group/whatever] ! Escher is one of my all time favorite artists and to think that his "impossible" art has been recreated in Legos, is mind boggling!

Relativity

be sure to check out this guy's other stuff, too!

Thanks for the link-- looks like fun! :) I tried something similar myself once & got a new appreciation for what Goldsworthy does.

I like the spiral and the leaves with the pebbles. Left a comment on the green dot.

So are you gonna join yarnaholics? :-) ~mj

Yeah it's a real shame, it would have been awesome if they made another movie even if it didn't have Book or Wash in.

Just wanted to say that I think your extended email digest idea (as posted here) is really nice. This first round of Top 10s will last for about two-three weeks (poll closes on the 14th) and then I will update the main list of all descriptions and create a new poll which will include your Email Digest.

Hello: I added a link to your [FAQ] Points and Stamps Summary in the sticky New Users Quick Start Guide. Thanks for writing this up.

mik on Apr 27, 2007

Hi, I saw your points&stamps post (well done). I sent you manhatten symbol, then when I scrolled down I saw it says you wanted it from someone in particular, so - sorry, you'll have to delete mine to get theirs.

Twins Peaks.. haven't heard mention of that for a long time. I think I have the soundtrack somewhere - on tape, and I'm not sure if I still have a tape player!

I'm trying to check out knitting.activist.ca (I design hand knitting patterns and tech edit for designers & publishers) but the site won't load for me, maybe I'll try later.

Wow, great profile, and cool site, Grant :) -gg

Hee hee, love to see a sweater of the revolution. Ruby on Rails is v.cool, would like to use in my upcoming projects, though I'm a designer not programmer.

Birgit on Mar 28, 2007

Lego is awesome, luckily I have two kids as an excuse to keep digging into their "catalogue". ;)

Jen on Mar 28, 2007

Oh true that! It would be a lot to keep up with! As a matter of fact I think she struggles with project completion herself. ;)

Jen on Mar 27, 2007

Oh she says its great fun, have you ever tried spinning?

Jen on Mar 26, 2007

Hey my sister loves to knit too. She grows her own wools (and such) and spins it into yarn and then dyes it and either uses it or sells it. :)

Jen on Mar 22, 2007

Just dropping by to say hello!

auschick on Mar 22, 2007

That's fascinating! My grandma taught me how to knit when I was a kid, but I have no idea now. I should learn again... Time... Bah!

auschick on Mar 22, 2007

knitting? interesting! anyway, sending you some icons... enjoy
