A “superbug” known as methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus has attacked up to 5 percent of hospital and nursing home patients. The germ, which cannot be treated by common antibiotics, can be fatal – but special antibiotics can zap the bug.

MRSA is well known over here. The hospitals are having a mare of a time with it.
