Comic Sans fans?
I found this funny tidbit in the IconBuffet CSS:
font-family: "Comic Sans", "Lucida Grande", "Verdana", sans-serif;
The first font being Comic Sans? Man, right now I am so happy that Micro$oft decided to append "MS" to the Comic Sans name, because then that font will never get chosen by the CSS, thankfully. It's a good joke though, and I really hope it was only intented to be a nice little joke, and not to actually be seriously used. Funny, though! :P
On another note, does anybody know what syntax we can use here to customize our text? Strong tag? Em tag? <code>Code tag?</code>

What? You're not getting the Comic Sans version of the site? It's bee-yoo-tiful.
For formatting, just use simple html: , , , etc.

When you figure out stickies, this deserves to be stickied just for the grin factor. This is hilarious. =]
.g, who's bummed about the lack of pagination (yes, she knows it's coming) since she's not visited IB in 2 days. =(

Ahh! Comic Sans! I don't like that font. In fact, I hate it. I don't understand why teachers seem to love it so much for all the handouts they give us. It's as if they don't know there's a world of fonts out there! =O
I don't see the Comic Sans version either. I see the Verdana one. I don't even know whether I want to see Comic Sans splattered all over the web. XD
patronus4000 on Apr 27, 2007
Okay, I just edited the CSS in Firefox. Comic Sans looks horrible on IconBuffet. I think I'll just stick with Verdana.

Having a couple of friends who are teachers, the answer is no, they don't know there's a world of fonts out there. Their knowledge of fonts is limited to whatever came pre-installed on their computer and Comic Sans is different to Arial and easy to read on printouts.
I'm sure they're baffled why the people with any knowledge of fonts are plotting to beat them to death with a Comic Sans question mark and tilde character.

Regarding Comic Sans, please allow me to get all biblical-like on that action by quoting: “Touch not the unclean thing!”
