yeah, that is so awesome. I had heard about the Surface computer and some of its capabilites but that was the first time I had ever seen. Very much worth the wait.

Oh heck yeah. I first saw a video on youtube around this time last year. It certainly has changed and seems to have improved since. Thanks for the vid Dyar!

Wow... looks like they used the technology that was initially developed at NYU. Very slick, and has some interesting concepts for the future of computing. I'd really love to see how this might become used in settings like law enforcement or forensics, where having a large work surface could be aided with software integration.
Now I just wonder how expensive it'll be. :D

the video said 5-10k, per machine and that they were targeting commercial businesses first.
And yup bjendrick, its the same guy from NYU that ran the project.. he's begun his own business called perceptive pixel to develop it further.

Yeah... I noticed the company name on the site I linked, and then saw his name on the video. And all things considered, $5-10K is pretty good. I mean, if it can really make things that easy to use & organize, I could see it becoming the next "must have" device like a fridge or TV.

Oh definitely, can you imagine never losing your tv remote..ever? Cause you control it with your coffee table? I'm excited about it and ready for it to trickle down to us residential folk.

I find it ridiculous that Microsoft has branded this with their name so much - like they came up with this. Utter bullocks.

It's all about early investment. Without MS, someone else would jump at the marketing craze.
