Take Amsterdam High Seas and [CLOSED]

You must have 10 Tokens in your Account right now to take advantage of this special limited time offer.

You know you want Amsterdam High Seas, the only Diamond Set ever issued by Icon Buffet and the only Set that will get you 250 Points by just delivering it to your Friends (but you can't deliver it if you don't have it yourself). Now, here's your chance for you to get Amsterdam High Seas and at the same time pick up a Free Gift. Here's the deal: for a limited time if you take a Amsterdam High Seas from me I will also include a Free Gift with a retail value of $14.95. For right now the details of the Free Gift will remain a mystery to avoid the copycats for my offer, but you will receive complete details as soon as you accept Amsterdam High Seas.

The Amsterdam High Seas Delivery will require 10 Tokens, so make sure you have 10 Tokens in your account before proceeding. Then click on my Avatar or Name at the top of this post. Then post a note that you want in my Box and check the little box next to Whisper before clicking Post Comment. This will ensure that you and I are the only ones able to see your request. Failure to do this may result in your request being sniped in which case you won't receive the Free Gift should you accept someone else's offer.

This offer is subject to termination at any time should I run out of Stamps, but in no event will the offer extend past May 23, 2007.

This is a cool offer but is it really in the spirit of IB? Many keen IB members can't make offers like this.

dyar on May 22, 2007

I would have to disagree with you on this. Anyone can make such an offer, you just have to be creative and think outside of the box. It's a lot harder and more work than spamming users and throwing stuff on the wall and see what sticks, but that's not my style anyhow. I only fill specific requests so my unclaimed Stamp count is always low (right now it is 0). Just a different style of doing business, that's all.

BlackBart on May 22, 2007

Most of my deliveries are to fulfill specific requests too. I only have 15 stamps. Surely to do this you must have "stock" of the item you are gifting to those who take AHS which (if it's really doing business) cost you less than $14.95. Please appreciate that I'm only curious. I'm not objecting per se.

I have my tokens and I'm thinking of getting the amsterdam icons, but I already know where I won't get it.
I don't think we should start making this a marketplace in a marketplace that is for free icons after all...

Share the love! (and the icons)

cdncx on May 22, 2007

Is this restricted to mainland USA ?

dyar on May 22, 2007

No, not restricted to U.S. The only restriction is that the offer expires tomorrow.

NatetheGreat on May 22, 2007

And my tokens refill June 9. :( (I was wanting to get the set anyway, even without the mysterious offer...)

Hellfire on May 22, 2007

Aww I already got that set about 2 hours ago :( I guess I should have waited!

dyar on May 22, 2007

@BlackBart - Your assumptions are flawed

@twopeak - Huh? If getting one of something for free is a good deal isn't getting two of somethings for free an even better deal. I look it as sharing twice the love.

@Hellfire - I'm sorry you missed it, the offer has been up most of the day, I guess it just drifted further down the page.

soprano on May 22, 2007

@dyar: can I get the gift if I promise to take Sushinobi from you, even if I get it free from the chefs? please???

soprano on May 22, 2007

and I'll take Oslo Symbol too...

dyar on May 23, 2007

@soprano - this promotion is for Amsterdam High Seas only. I'll do another one in the future for other items. But this one ends today.

BlackBart on May 23, 2007

So you're making a loss then?

dyar on May 23, 2007

@BlackBart - wrong, guess again.

Offer ends today.

dyar on May 23, 2007

This offer is now over.

Watch for new specials coming soon (well, as soon as I get some more Stamps).
