IB November Statistics - A Decline, A New Badge, No Rats
On one of the few positive notes for the month, one of our Members, jsfreire reached 100,000 Points during November and is now the only Member having every currently attainable Badge. As a fun fact, the IB 10k Club reported being the first Group to reach 1 million Points among its members.
As noted herein, IB went South again in November after an acceptable October performance. The new PackRat Game which was promised by the end of October still hasn't been released. More details are located Here, including the move to Facebook. A new Diamond delivery (PackRat) in honor of the PackRat Game was announced but not released pending the release of the Game.
The Stamp problems referred in the October Statistics have still not been resolved. From the comments in This Thread, it appears that there are major problems with the Stamps, with Users having more or less Stamps that they are entitled to which would also trickle down to a Point problem.
Each IB Member should have received two (2) Sets as Free/Fresh deliveries during the month. Due to the decline in November, VIP's not having all the Sets got a chance to catch up on some back Sets and VIP's holding all the Sets wasted a lot of Tokens during the month. Here's the results for November:
Total Sets released in November was 8, a 20% decrease from the 10 Sets released in October. The November releases consisted of 2 Gold and 6 Bronze Sets.
The Token value of all Sets released in November was 16, a 47% decrease over the 30 Token Value in October.
The Average Token Cost per Set was 2.00, a 33% decrease from the 3.00 average in October.
The Average Sets released per week was 2.00, a 20% decrease from the 2.50 sets per week released in October.
This Chart tracks the above Statistics since the New Icon Buffet went live.
At the end of November there were 150 Free Delivery Sets outstanding, containing 2,389 Icons. These included 1 Diamond (.67%), 37 Gold (24.67%), 36 Silver (24.00%), and 76 Bronze (50.67%) Sets. The total Token Value of all Sets outstanding was 379 at the end of November with an average Token Value/Set of 2.53.
There is now 1 Member with over 110,000 Points, 1 Member with over 80,000 Points, 2 Members with over 60,000 Points, 1 Member over 40,000 Points, 1 Member over 30,000 Points, and 12 additional Members over 20,000 Points. If you want to get into the top 50 of all Members you will need over 13,450 Points, up 1,620 Points since last month. Up to date User Standings can be seen Here courtesy of Aaroncampbell.

Although it's small consolation for those who lost tokens, its worth noting that if all the icons produced had actually been released (i.e., PackRat & Chapeau) the statistics wouldn't have seen nearly the same hit: 29 token value, 2.5 sets per week, etc. This at least suggests the potential for Dec. to be a bonanza month -- though with the holidays, it's more likely this will just compensate for a natural holiday dropoff.

It is always interesting to read such a complete report. Thanks :)
One thing though, Jsfreire is still missing the Galaxy badge
dyar on Dec 01, 2007
^ true, but we have no idea what that Badge is for. Maybe one of the Chefs will clue us in.

What's been the longest stretch between releases? I'm finding fewer people are checking in as regularly.
dyar on Dec 01, 2007
Several instances of 7 days, and one of 8 days, but the answer is 10 days from Marseilles Celestial on 9/14 to Mallow Head Trip on 9/24. September was also the slowest month with only 7 Sets released.

dyar does it again. *doing Snoopy dance*
we can only hope that there will be a huge bundle of holiday releases! who knows, maybe the chef's have decided to release the set and game as a holiday "gift." as long as they know that we all like early presents!
and i think this is a good thread to make note of the fact that, i am sure, we are all sooooooooooooo glad to have the site up & running smoothing, after the troubles of a few months ago.
bottom line: i wants me more icons!

I didn't realize there was a user's leaderboard, or that I was on it! I'm still hoping that the Galaxy badge is for invites.

Dyar the Documentarian strikes again with a bundle of fun information and facts. Wonder if the Chefs will grumble again about being "reduced to stats".

Thanks dyar. I cringed on the 27th when i saw my 19 tokens waste away. I hope that December is a token depleting month :)
aaroncampbell on Dec 02, 2007
I'm going to lose 19 tokens tomorrow too. I was REALLY hoping the pending sets would have been released.

Very interesting, dyar...as always...

I just did a new Chart which tracks the Net Amount of Tokens (after your Free Deliveries) necessary each month to get all the Sets issued in that Month. This one does it by Group so those that say "our group only receives Bronze Free deliveries" can see if that is true for your group.
This might need a little explaining. The top (orange line) for each month is the Token Value for all Sets issued by IB for the month. Under that line are 4 different colored lines corresponding to the four Groups. Shorter lines are better meaning that the Free Deliveries you received during the month had a higher Token Value, thus you Paid less Tokens out of your Bank to acquire all the Sets.
As an Example, during the month of October IB issued Sets having a total Token Value of 30. If you are in Group 4 (blue line) you will see that you would have needed 20 Tokens to acquire all the Sets which means that your Free Deliveries were worth 10 Tokens (30-20=10).
Don't know which Group you are in? Don't worry, just check below:
If your last Free/Fresh Delivery from the chefs was:
Claiborne Tech You are in Group 1
Alexandria Energy You are in Group 2
Durango Bookmarks You are in Group 3
Tonkawa Holiday You are in Group 4
