IB July Statistics - Dropped Like The Stock Market
There's not a lot of positive news to report for the month of July. A new Badge (Golden Top Hat) was introduced which includes 1,000 Points for members delivering 200 Gold Sets. The site had major access problems numerous times in July. The "coolness" that was promised on June 5th still hasn't happened. And, the Chefs don't drop in and visit with us much anymore. Overall, July was a down month, the Summer doldrums I presume. Here's the results for July:
Total Sets released in July was 10, a 17% decrease from the 12 Sets released in June. The July releases consisted of 2 Gold, 3 Silver and 5 Bronze Sets.
The Token value of all Sets released in July was 24, a 20% decrease over the 30 Token Value in June.
The Average Token Cost per Set was 2.40, a 4% decrease from the 2.50 average in June
The Average Sets released per week was 2.50, a 17% decrease from the 3.00 sets per week released in June.
This Chart tracks the above Statistics since the New Icon Buffet went live.
At the end of July there were 111 Free Delivery Sets outstanding. These included 1 Diamond, 27 Gold, 28 Silver, and 55 Bronze Sets. The total Token Value of all Sets outstanding was 284 at the end of June with an average Token Value/Set of 2.56
There is now 1 Member with over 40,000 Points and 5 additional Members with over 20,000 Points. If you want to get into the top 50 of all Members you will need over 7,100 Points. Up to date User Standings can be seen Here courtesy of Aaroncampbell.

I did take a week off in July to go see the wife's family. Her grandmother was celebrating an 80th birthday, and her cousin was getting married.
If I upload the vacation pics, can we count it as a set? ;)

I don't remember you asking us for our permission to take a week off. ;)
In future, kindly fill out a leave request form in triplicate and submit it to Dyar at least one month before the commencement date.

Yeah, seriously! Since when is family more important than icons... GOSH!

Dyar is most likely having Icon Newness withdrawl... Iconmaster, no worries, vacation is permissable, but like the corporate world, we now expect you to work 10 - 12 hour days to make up the work!

Me not be findin' fault in a man overseein' family obligations, BUT BY NEPTUNE'S BEARD was thar no Internetty port to drop anchor? Surely 'tween the cake cuttin for Granny and the cake cuttin' for the cousin ye could've tossed a set our way.

and here i was shaking my fist in the general direction of apple headquarters muttering "blasted iPhones ! no good can come of this..."
i guess maybe the novelty has worn off, for those who have them.

maybe, prior to a vacation, extra icon sets could be programed in your computer [not the server] to be released at appropriate intervals.

Well not exactly. These are the actual statistics for the month. I have reported each of the last 3 Months (April, May and June) and have reported the good as well as the bad. They're just numbers.
The effects were that: Non Vip's got less behind than than they would had more sets been released; Vip's without all the Sets got a chance to catch up on some older Sets; and Vip's with all the Sets just wasted a few more Tokens than normal. Which adds more ammunition to the argument that there should be a Stamp for Token exchange program for VIP's, but that's for another thread.
