IB February Statistics - A New Badge (well almost) And A Few Surprises

February marks the end of a whole year of Icon Buffet v. 2.0. With the release of Cream Puff Kids on 2/29/08 (the 10th in the Amsterdam Family) a New Badge and 100 Bonus Points became attainable. However, as of the date of this writing, the Badge has not been entered into the system yet so the Badge and Bonus Points have not been awarded to anyone.

On Valentines Day the Chefs surprised us with the release of a co-designed Set (the second in as many months) featuring 16 Hearts in the styling of many of the existing Families. Then on February 29th (Leap Day), the Chefs showered us with 3 New Releases. It doesn't set any records but did save us from what would have otherwise been the worst month on record.

As noted herein, February was a mixed month when compared to January, and was the first month in which one indicator went up and another went down. Each of the 4 Groups received 2 Free Sets during the Month. Here's the results for February:

Total Sets released in February was 8, a 14% increase from the 7 Sets released in January. The February releases consisted of 2 Gold, 2 Silver and 4 Bronze Sets. Of the 8 Sets released, etherbrian was the Designer of 3 Sets (1S, 2B) containing 80 Icons, iconmaster was the Designer of 4 Sets (1G, 1S, 2B) containing 38 Icons, and etherbrian and iconmaster jointly released 1 Set containing 16 Icons (1G).

The Token value of all Sets released in February was 20, a 17% decrease over the 24 Token Value in January.

The Average Token Cost per Set was 2.50, a 27% decrease from the 3.43 average in January. The decline was due primarily to the inclusion of the Diamond Set in the previous month.

The Average Sets released per week was 2.00, a 14% increase from the 1.75 sets per week released in January.

This Chart tracks the above Statistics since the New Icon Buffet went live in March 2007.

This Latest Chart tracks by Group the Total amount of Set Value each group has received Free since IB 2.0 started on 3/9/07. I changed this from the other chart since the other one was somewhat distorted by the Diamond Deliveries which spanned all Groups. Diamond Deliveries are not included in this Chart.

At the end of February there were 176 Free Delivery Sets outstanding, containing 2,788 Icons. These included 2 Diamond (1.14%), 44 Gold (25.00%), 43 Silver (24.43%), and 87 Bronze (49.43%) Sets. The total Token Value of all Sets outstanding was 456 at the end of January with an average Token Value/Set of 2.59.

There is now 1 Member with over 120,000 Points, 1 Member with over 80,000 Points, 1 Members with over 70,000 Points, 1 Members with over 60,000 Points, 1 Member over 40,000 Points, 1 Member over 30,000 Points, and 21 additional Members over 20,000 Points. If you want to get into the top 50 of all Members you will need over 15,120 Points, up 670 Points since last month. Up to date User Standings can be seen Here courtesy of Aaroncampbell.

Looking Forward: Will there be a One year anniversary Set on March 9th? Since February is the end of the first full year of IB 2.0, I will be doing a Year In Review version of the Statistics. Look for it soon.

I have no clue. I take my numbers off Aaron Campbell's page which just goes to the top 50.

This Latest Chart tracks by Group the Total amount of Set Value each group has received Free since IB 2.0 started on 3/9/07.

Wow, I hadn't realized there was such disparity between groups. Guess I'm fortunate to be in Group 1.

Thanks again for the stats, dyar.
