I want IB Anniversary

Hello. I am looking for IB Anniversary, but I want to do a little contest to find out who gets to send it. Here's the riddle:

What is the remainder of my weight divided by my age?

(Or for you math/cs types: weight % age = ?)

First person to correctly answer here gets to send me IBA.

GO!

According to your profile, your age is 2007, so assuming your weight is under 2007,

weight % age = weight

@anti - Uh... nope. Way too high.

@iconmaniac - That's a bug in the IB system.

Ok, this is not pure math, i think It's ZERO :)
But i can't sent u IB Anniversary before the 9th. If thats too late just ignore my answer.

412

It's higher than 0 and lower than 412. It could only be 412, by the way, if I weighed more than 413 pounds. Which I don't.

I was interpreting your weight as the number of your stamps, dividing by 2007, then finding the remainder. 412. :)

Armatures *sigh*

When in doubt, the answer is ALWAYS 42.

?? umm... with weight % age, isn't it that it could only be 412 if you were at least 413 years old?

@emanaton - Think weight divided by age. Then take the remainder.

The current closest guesses are 25 and 7. It's somewhere between those two.

emanaton on Apr 28, 2008

@davethegr8: riiiight... so the biggest the remainder could be is one less than your age (assuming no fractions)? So, a remainder does NOT provide an indication of your maximum weight, but rather, of your maximum age, yes?

@emanaton -

Yes, the max is age - 1.

@dyar - Uh... no. I suppose I should have mentioned that it's a positive integer...

16..20 - Closer, but not quite.

We have a winner - Iconmaniac! The correct mod of my weight and age is 17 (although if this had gone another week, cartuning would have gotten it).

Congrats, and thanks all for playing!
